I think it could be a lot higher next year - we will have a profitable company drilling Heron, and we'll have the prospects on Velociraptor to be examined - and they are huge!

The other one was Union Jack oil.....but didn't go with it either.

I had these on my watch list at the beginning of the year - opted for Matd instead.

XEL! That wiped me out after a huge paper gain....That's one of my: 'What if...' stories. V. annoying. I am comfortable with my MATD holding though - would have topped up this week if possible and might do over the coming days if the SP hangs around here for a bit.

It'll come in Spring next year when we can produce. That's when the real re-rate will hit. Should be more than 20p by then I think - closer to 30p.

I think what's holding this back is that it's going to take us to 2020 to actually become a producer. I'm very happy with today's RNS, and though I would love it to race up to 15-25p a share I think that will come in the next few months - especially when we actually start getting it out of the ground.

Yes I agree. Spring 2020 should be 20p or so and more once we produce - so long as there isn't a world-wide recession and lower demand for oil.

In the run up to Velociraptor next year, and producing, I think that's easily possible. Prob not today though, agreed.

This should get a decent re-rate over the coming weeks after an initial boom today. Heron alone now makes the company 18-25p value a share I think, as the results seem more positive than anticipated. Certainly set up well for move into 2020 now.

Whilst I agree with you, I think people are just a bit nervous about Heron still - I know I would feel safer if the flow rates etc were known and it was a signed off well rather than one yet to be fully appraised. Whilst today's result did force me to eat a mars bar and down a glass of milk in one go (de-stress!) this was essentially a coin toss 50/50 event, and I think we'll finish 10-15% down today. I'm still holding anyhow. Just be nice to get over that wretched 10p mark!

Ouch! I came out with a 50-70% loss or so after, on paper, a massive increase. Nothing like your hit though - sympathies. That was a very annoying share as it was so close to success - just wider economic forces turned against it.

It was a very frustrating one that was. I remember getting in for sub 50p originally and buying up to £1.20 and watching it go to £4.00. Then it lost half its value in a day due to an RNS that, whilst correct, didn't convey enough optimism I guess.

Were you here when Xcite Energy was the rage? That was my potentially biggest multibagger. Shame shale revolution came then which stopped them raising money for Bentley.

Yep that looks a dead cert now. That's a great RNS today - removes the doubt from akey number of issues (if you were worried about them anyway that is e.g. placing and permits!)
