As I recall it Jay's reference to putting the 'Dime on the Dollar' referred to the reason they were doing seismic on Ruvuma area.....meaning - to be clarifying more exactly what is in the ground ie. if something was blindly estimated to be a dollar, doing seismic could add extra dime/s on top of the rounded off/simplistic 'dollar' estimation. That was the essence of what he was saying. It was about more accurately estimating value. He didn't mean sell off a dollar's worth for a dime :-))

the Zubairs paid twice the current value in the farm-out so they are expecting to at least double that, in which case 60p?.....though no doubt they expect more value added once the drill turns

re. that article.....they got it wrong to say Aminex farm-out was for $5m as it was to be 2 tranches of $5m followed by two smaller tranches, so: $5m + $5m + $3m + $2m = $15m

....unless ARA include that 3-D expenditure in their 'tally' along with the drilling, which they probably will......so we may be getting ahead of ourselves .....so I guess we shouldn't count it as a discount

I understand now you were meaning that as we are not stumping up $1.5m for 3-D seismics, we (through the deal)are effectively better-off by that amount that we would otherwise have had to spend.....so we could say our 'rebate' is $35m + $1.5m = $ 36.5m 'effectively' / in reality?

the costs of 3-D seismics for Ntorya are to be borne by ARA not Aminex....see presentation on the Aminex website

again next week.....people who traded the spike could get caught out, could be a little delay in that some money went into Solo for today (unjustified positivity there and unjustified negativity here as usual!) should see some de-ramp attempts here from some of our regulars trying to get back in at a good price until their Solo trades have cleared....so bounce here likely to be end of next week

keep eyes on the prize....oil potential! recent deal shows us just how much cash we would have had to raise to develop Ruvuma....x3!!!!! (imagine how long that would have taken for Mr Dither-Bunny to sort out!) plus those wells are high pressure stuff so tackling them on our own would have been very high-risk financially if they were to hit any complications. I am very happy that we can now quickly find out if we are sitting on tonnes of gas and oil via quick and 'economy of scale' development thereof. Then we can turn our attention to Nyuni....note that Bounty will be in the same situation as Solo is now if we get a farm-out on that I'm not convinced that they would be able to keep their percentage and maybe it will revert to us/ a farm-out operator
