If you had bought RKH 1 year ago you would be sitting on a 47.87% profit (source Bloomberg). Not bad in today's climate. The best performer in my portfolio. Wonder where it will be in another years time? Wish I'd bought more.

I thought we were going to be building the fpso from scratch rather than converting an existing one? Im sure i read somewhere that it is often cheaper to do this in the long run.

Volume today just shy of 5 mil. Nothing really spectacular about that to suggest something big is about to happen. Oil price rise will be part of the story however as we are a long way off from producing any (from SL), I doubt it's the main driver. Guess not too many people are willing to sell at the moment hense sp rise to fill orders. All good though, haven't enjoyed a rise like this for a long time. Long may it continue.

According to Linkdin, there are already 2 applicants for the position. Hopefully won't be too hard to fill and the final steps are completed prior to sanction.

This would tie in with Sanction planned for mid 2019. * Deliver the ICSS scope to ensure that the FPSO elements of the Sea Lion project are SANCTION READY (my caps). The line above from the job spec seems to imply this too. Not long to go now folks. Tempted to gradually increase my holding over the next 12 months.

Totally agree rpoodle. No start dates are mentioned for the roles presumably as this would be commercially sensitive. Contractors however need to be in work and can't sit around indefinitely waiting for something to happen. Would be good if anybody currently in the oil industry could comment on typical lead times for contractors to be hired?

My understanding is that FID and Sanction are two separate events. FID is PMO's commitment to financing the project. This has always been reported as 'by the end of 2018' - less than 26 weeks to go and should have a +ve effect on the SP. Sanction is the final 'green light' that kicks everything off after all boxes have been ticked, legal, environmental, government etc., reported as mid 2019 - circa 52 weeks to go and should hopefully send the SP into orbit!! Apologies if I'm stating the obvious but I sometimes get the impression people have mixed them up a bit. Good luck all holders and good to see some more familiar names.
