I think some of the recent ABF price action may be the beginnings
of the impact of ethical investing on the ratings of
companies that trade outside of their remit.

A fast fashion retailer is unlikely to be held by such funds and
as those sectors is growing like a weed it may have an ever greater impact.

I would guess and obvs that is all it is, the market is expecting
some adverse news on Unilever FY 2021 margin guidance at the next Q update
and so yesterday's analyst notes provoked a disproportionately larger reaction
than normal.

Ben & Jerry's has a separate oversight board, they make those decisions,
not the Unilever BOD. It was a condition of the acquisition and
makes diddly squat difference to the Unilever share price.

NDN - some hopeful positives -

CEO has spent £10 million approx buying shares
over the past 2 years.

BT has more regulatory clarity than for many years.

The pension deficit is beginning to shrink.

and now there is a billionaire large shareholder.

As mentioned earlier what the market is looking for
is more clarity on multiple areas -BT Sports, a partner for CAPEX
investment and whether BT will sell part of Openreach.

All just imv and fwiw only - by no means a sector expert
as some here are, but have some idea what drives share sentiment.

Get that, however they are looking for a partner to partly fund the CAPEX requirement
which indicates BT unable or uncomfortable to self-fund this entirely
from cash flow/debt - may have to do with credit ratings on their debt.

so not sure how they can justify paying £700 MN approx to shareholders annually.

Toff, I would not be surprised if there is an FY margin guidance cut,

guiding flat ATM, that looks a stretch to me fwiw.

Some of the % increases are extraordinary, Palm oil etc.

The SP has nothing to with politics.

And everything to do with surging input and labour cost
