If they do (and I'm not saying they shouldn't) the SP may tank as managements ineptitude will be shown up once again! Until they display more competence this remains uninvestible to me....

To me whilst Nico and Co have started to make progress this is still uninvestable, and will remain so until there is both positive EBITDA and cash flow / generation. I still like the idea, and think the opportunity is a good one - even after taking my ca. 85% loss when I finally got fed up and sold out earlier this year - and as with Ed, Richard & Co before them execution (of plans / strategy) is still the big issue where major improvements could be made. Once the financials start to look better I will probably reinvest, but not before (and in all likelihood probably not for at least another year as FJET time is quite slow).

With $10 and $20 one way lead in fares they should be sold out!

fjetcrazy, that's very true as with the current programme / schedule the 2 E190s would be more than enough. It will be interesting to see how they are all deployed.

buxton1, I'm with you in that if the ERJ could be deployed on routes such as Mtwara, Dodoma, Kigoma and Moroni as well as possibly resurrecting some other 'old routes' such as Entebbe, Nairobi and Lilgonwe that would be good, and definite signs of improvement / forward movement and perhaps begin to be signs that this may be an investible proposition once more (along with continued growth / expansion in Zimbabwe).

fjetcrazy, interesting to see that, according to Wolfgang, FJET have lost the route rights to NBO and EBB which is possibly a shame with an ERJ145 being added to the fleet as that could be the ideal aircraft for those routes (at least initially).

Surprised this option (and potential ancillary revenue stream) hadn't been introduced already / at the same time that seat booking, or 'buckets of fish', as this seems like a core part of a standard LCC model.

Carbonix, AOCs are type specific and as the Solenta fleet includes ATR42 and ATR72 I guess these would be the turboprop types that FJET have in mind (which is ironic as they themselves used to have a couple in the fleet - and even booked a loss on the sale of one). Not sure but the FJ Tanzania AOC may even include these as they would've been part of the old Lonrho operation (as so covered under their AOC)?

buxton1, please see the attached link to the Solenta website, whilst they do have numerous AOCs (and a number in the works) none of them cover Zambia, in fact only a couple are probably of any real interest to FJET at this time.... http://www.solenta.com/footprint/ - South Africa - Kenya - Mozambique

Rufiji, adding BUQ to the mix is long overdue and would be a good addition (as HRE-BUQ and BUQ-JNB as you suggest) along with re-instatement of the DAR-JNB rotations. IMHO these routes, with the revised ERJ145 and E190 aircraft types would be good, sensible, and prudent, signs of growth and would say that these would be better options than adding Turboprops to the fleet to pick up smaller airfields elsewhere. After that it would be good to evaluate Zambia again (having spent all that time and money previously) as LUN-NDL, LUN-JNB and NDL-JNB may all be good routes, especially with the revised aircraft type.
