Will this hold....13 Feb 2018 09:34
....or will it begin a long slow fall???
This is a news driven share (currently) and as there hasn't been any for about 6 weeks, and there is probably no prospect of any for another 6 weeks or more will this hold it's current levels (low / mid 80s) or continue a long slow decline as it did from mid December 2017?
Why is there no news imminent??
- to date there have been 9/10 collaboration / MoU deals signed over the last year or so 4 in the last few months and 5/6 a year or more ago
- those from a year or more ago (Absolute Engineering, CT Engineering, Bromley Technologies, Warwick Manufacturing Group, Scafell Organics and the NGI/CPI Tender win) have so far - bar a few photos of a Bromlet sled on Twitter, produced little to no news since signature
- therefore the 4 signed more recently (IAI, US Chemicals Company, Global Consumer Goods Company and Asian Sportswear Manufacturer) are also likely to produce little / no news any time soon
- the only thing noteworthy (for which news is awaited) is progression on the LoI for a Chinese factory but this is likely to be complex to conclude and so will take time (could easily be months rather than weeks away) regardless of any previously hoped for start date
- next financials (which will hopefully show overall profitability) are not due until July
- most of the above action is in connection with Graphene for which (in the 2016 accounts) the company only employed 5 staff
- the CEO is on record as saying that they struggle to cope with all the work / opportunities that they currently have, let alone taking on anymore so new collaborations / announcements outside of the 10 or so already listed seem unlikely as the focus is likely to be on making those deliver (and especially China)
Therefore, to me, I don't see any imminent news and so a gentle decline in the SP is the most likely outcome in the immediate future for VRS. That said I will continue to hold, and add as I did last week.
