Not my thing to play with but surely with Friday's jump and now again today these shorters are now in a huge gamble with either a great profit or a massive hit, depending on which way the court decision goes. Or am I missing something.
RE: Orstead cancels Milibands largest Wind Farm7 May 2025 17:02
Trouble is that Starmer does not want to appear even weaker than he is by dumping some of his clowns, he is already seriously unpopular. He also should dump the bank clerk of course but probably won't for the same reason.
In my case it is the silly popcorn which is annoying (way overdone Knot), otherwise I find you posts informative. I generally skip the last few lines of your posts to avoid staring at the silly popcorny bit.
Agree with you, already did this the other day but only 5k for 46.68p as already hold a lot of them. Next divi there presumably so nothing to lose if it falls thru.
RE: 9th April dividend payment....10 Mar 2025 15:17
I suppose now that this KKR offer is out all over the place, it's possible someone else who had them on their radar but keeping quiet might make a move on AGR as well, since this has become a time limited affair. Since it would seem AGR is going to go might as well have a bit of a bidding war, moving up to a more acceptable offer. Wishful thinking.
There was no indication of any offer from anyone until something leaked the other week, AGR hadn't disclosed a variety of offers which had apparently been made over the last months and which were rejected I think I read. Basically should not AGR put both KKR and PHP on the table for folk to vote on? Oldnbld makes a good point re PHP imo.
As it stands this KKR will be a done deal irrespective of what PIs might want. As is usual
RE: [1] GoodDrH's Comment [2] Bid Situation3 Mar 2025 15:10
Did the same Silkoil though I kept 5k of them in case a bid went higher. Wanted back in sub 40p but since divi imminent have got some more just under the 41p. Thinking it will rise into the divi irrespective of any possible bid increase.
You are hopefully correct, in any case it surely will jump with the Q1 div which folk will want for their sipps and new isas? assuming the bank clerk does not totally screw up share isas in April.
RE: Where’s the balloon who was on here last week25 Feb 2025 09:11
It's just the shorter's bots doing all the buying/selling. Probably continue until the 21st March when the div gets paid. If much of that monster div is being dripped back in rather than being taken as cash then would imagine the share price will start to kick up again. Hope so anyway.
RE: Chid breaking out the popcorn?21 Feb 2025 11:18
M007, you forgot to mention a discussion from Chid about newts as well, I mean the newts that Angie and the bank clerk want to annihilate with bulldozers. The newts in my pond are terrified and cannot sleep at night.
