A low share price isn't always a good thing as it does indicate how the market values a given company. Where MARS are concerned your investment strategy suits you. Some companys will allocate shares in lieu of a cash dividend, not sure if Marstons do, however a share price will normally fall when the dividend is being paid so allowing purchase of shares with div.
Generally the SP here has not performed well which is never a good thing as a Company who do not build shareholder value could have problems in the future. So paying a good div is one thing but not always a good thing.

Trent I tend to agree with you. The div is attractive, perhaps too much so,. The strange thing is the SP has not kept up with other Brewers within the sector.
The Broker upgrade has moved the price but not as much as it should, imo.
