Decided to cut my (significant) losses this morning. Snaitech has been about the only thing PTEC has had going for it recently and now that Italy sounds like it is closed for business, certainly as far as attending football matches goes, earnings here could almost disappear for 2020. Snaitech HQ is in Milan which hardly boots the investment case :(

Well it didn't go down much when the FTSE was down over 3% so almost as good as a rise. It has allowed me what I consider a decent entry.

The volatility index nearly hit 50 this morning. That's very high, by far the highest level on my chart which only goes back to October 2017. Plus will be absolutely raking it with this level of volatility. No wonder insiders have been buying.

TW made a similar attack on Begbies Traynor. The shares have recovered well.

Well the CEO bought stock recently and hasn't sold a single share since listing so I suspect it's all *******s. It has gone ex. dividend today so some of the fall is down to that.

The accounts are so difficult to understand. The was no dividend increase and shareholder equity went down so the numbers weren't great. I believe some of the cash flow came from deposits on military orders so that open to criticism too.

I hadn't looked at the long term chart, I was just looking for a hotel stock with pan-European exposure to hedge my long exposure. Clearly you've done very well from it. What's been the secret to their success? It's not going to be a good year for the travel and leisure industry unfortunately. I should probably consider my position in Ten Entertainment Group.

Results read well. Presenting the numbers under both accounting standards was welcome as IFRS16 is a nightmare.

Spreading all over Europe. I'll be amazed if this doesn't get hit hard by a reduction in bookings. Given high degree of leverage it looks like a good short.

Absolutely. PLUS issued an earnings upgrade this morning. Market seems to be asleep. I've bought in (using a spread bet if that adds to the investment case for the sector).

Promises £1 of FCF per share. The shares are a little above 6 quid! Would be cheap for a company without almost insurmountable barriers to entry.

Not read in detail but headlines and outlook are the best I could have hoped for. Looks an absolute steal at this level. If low carbon energy takes off for them, I reckon the share price could easily double in the coming years, it's a very hot sector.

I don't think the massive disparity between EBITDA and the real numbers does the stock any favours, feels a bit like they are trying to pull the wool. Yesterday I decided I'd continue to hold if they didn't cut the dividend, which they haven't. Will be holding with gritted teeth though. With the threat of additional regulation and the situation in China and Italy, it's not going to be easy for PTEC.

EBITDA might be relevant to the debt covenants but for any other purpose it should be taken with a pinch of salt. They talk about increased gambling takes so tax is very relevant. Operational cash flow is almost certainly the most useful number. They generated about €300m which makes the mcap. look cheap but it's going down not up.

Perhaps a paid ramper who doesn't know the difference between 'your' and 'you're' isn't helping?

To be honest David, I find you the biggest concern over my investment here.
