Yes mate, it is often rented along with the rig and other oilfield equipment.

Bop was bought for field operations in general and will be used for Z21. Drill pipe has been bought for the same reason and will save money against rental. These purchases have nothing to do with MP either leaving or getting the push,, whether buying against renting proves to have been prudent only time will tell. At the moment, the cash outlay would appear to have been better kept in the kitty. Hindsight is a wonderful science.

No mate, it is retrospective, a recent agreement to back date the effective date so that he can leave earlier. He may be on a 3 month notice or one month with days holiday owed etc

But.. It would be interesting to establish whether Zen have excercised due diligence in their recruitment process and to find out where the position was advertised etc, or has a fellow Canadian mate in the company recommended him. At the moment I have mixed feelings about it. The new guy is self employed by the looks of it and will be charging a day rate equal to about 10 barrels a day plus expenses. The truth behind MP departure is unlikely to be openly announced but yes, I read that 'pointed' paragraph about David supporting the plan. Well, tbh he would wouldn't he otherwise he wouldn't be taken on. Indo out of the way removes the potentially huge dilution or massive debt looming which is a plus at the moment. Market will probably not see it in a good light. We shall see.

Things to consider.
B Robitics will provide a couple,of techs to show the Zen operators where the starting handle is and how to stop it when it all goes wrong. They have allocated 4 weeks for on the job training. Don't forget that this hydraulic gadget is non standard and will take some getting used-to. There will be a certain amount of resistance to its use I would guess initially and they will have to take things slowly as it would be wreckless to horse on with it without being competent.

Next question is wtf are they going to do at z21. Just complete it and see if it produces from an open hole arrangement or are they going to case it to bottom and perforate it, or are they going for gold and drilling down another 3-400m in which case August/Sept will become November/Dec b fore we get it flowing.

They may also want to run further tests so as to get as much geological data, well behaviour characteristics, reservoir estimate, recovery times, flow rates at different intervals etc. They may go for a double completion with two separate production tubes, who knows.

In other words mate, not a clue how long it will take. A quick in out, remove pipe and clean up could be done within 2-3 weeks, or if they go for the whole bifta, it might be Nov/Dec.
I would just like them to get it into production and case it all the way to help prevent collapse but I am fully expecting the re-drill. Progress of which has many variables such as the weight on the bit, torque, type of bit, mud weight, formation of the rock at that point etc etc, Could be about 10m per day which equates to about 5 -6 weeks after the existing tubing has been removed. Then they would need to sort out the completion and get it flowing with/without a pump

Rig Delivery date could be either an 'ex-works' date or a delivered to site date. There will be a couple of weeks difference between the two. I mention this so as to be 'one step ahead' and to identify a potential area for certain observations stating that the delivery is 'late'. :). It will arrive when it arrives which is sometime between now and the OP reaching $150 a barrel. Whether any of us have any money left by then is another matter. ---this comment actually applies to both rigs although the A100 should have been able to drive itself to the field and the 260 will need to go by loooong road or sea and be ready to grease some palms along the way to enable safe and smooth passage no doubt..

The rig that you are talking about is still being assembled at the B Robotics factory and will be another 2 months before we see it and then they will need to get used to how it works before we see any resultant work from it. Sept earlier unless they deliver early. If they deliver late, then who knows.

Smasher--re: A5. they will need some drill pipe though. 801 will still need pipe to set plugs between the zones under test so if they have some spare pipe already at A5 then happy days, mud should be there or on its way at least.
