Should we or shouldn't we17 Jun 2018 17:40
Go for it
If we do, then I hope that the indo govt have relaxed their punitive gross %. Anything much more than 20-25% starts becoming too greedy as they do not have the risk /cost of development, production, or operating costs.
70% as mentioned on here some weeks ago is not realistic on either a gross or net basis.
Word on the street is that their red tape is strangulating business and part of the problem of declining oil revenues. I don't have the details but the issues are probably easily researched for anyone that has the inclination to make the effort.
When the deal was announced, it looked too good to be true and unless the govt offer some kind of development cost tax concession and be realistic on their % I hope we tell them to ram it. It's never as simple as getting 1000bbls a day for 6 million otherwise every Del boy and Rodney in the oil industry would be selling their grandmothers, mothers, aunties etc to raise the cash. One could buy them all back within 6 months at current prices, no siree there is more to it than meets the eye.
See y'all tomorrow, it's time for my medication.
