There is always another one somewhere but if Zen want the same rig as used previously with the same Crew then maybe it is in use elsewhere. Genesis is likely to be more than 6 months away before it is being used in anger methinks. And it comes on a convoy of trucks, therefore not just a flat pack, plug and play piece of kit and not economical for workovers.--just my thoughts on it anyway

Zeb Genesis schmemises is going to be on a lease. Hopefully comes with a truck full of spares and someone that knows how it works and on a no-cost basis until proven to be useful clause in the lease. Maybe a share of production if successful, dunno, just as long as we don't raise cash for it. I noticed that they use geared pneumatic pumps which a rather agricultural and less sensitive to miniscule fragments of sand/dust/debris that usually fc*ks up hydraulic pumps, so that is at least a good thing. I haven't looked at the range of different hoses in use but it would also be a good move if they have managed to standardise the diameters, pressure ratings and fittings---lengths too would be good, but diameter and pressure would be a start. If they have then there may be less spares to be held or less hoses to make up. Anyhow, just babbling on as the Sp drops a bit more and folk lose what little patience they have left.

AJ, That's correct. It was in the rns I believe..There was something about the hired-in rig ZJ-150 being used for Z28 after Z21 is completed or maybe Z3 after Z21 and then Z28. Whatever order it may be, they said that the ZJ-150 would be used. In other words the late delivered A100 truck rig is not up to the job of jarring and pulling out pipe from 2.5- 3 miles underground. No!!! Don't ask !!, why they didn't just buy their own 150, 200 or 300 or just go ahead and spec a 1000hp truck mounted rig with capacity for 4000m depth using 5" drill pipe. dunno, unless any of us are part of the decision process, we have no idea why not.

It won't do everything that Zen might need to be done, this is correct, but it will do 80% or thereabouts of the general workover program. It is about utilisation, cost, ease of set-up, transport, blah de blah. To drill deep wells they need 350T plus IMV which is a bit of a beast, hence the 500t unit that we may be getting from Italy towards the end of the year--maybe/possibly. I doubt that the yet to be hired 150T is big enough to drill down further than the current TD and personally hope they don't attempt it on Z21. Pulling out the stuck tubing should be within its capabilities but drilling a deep well is probably not---P.S. I am not a rig expert but on the face of it, it looks too underpowered unless they extend the depth using a very small diameter drill pipe and bit and then produce from the extended zone open hole. Anyway--who gives a to**, all we want is 18-20p on the SP and a brighter outlook than we currently have. The rig capacities I believe have been mentioned before on the bb and yes we now all know that a 100t rig isn't man enough to deal with all eventualities. Its a bit like buying a Honda 125 to shopping and nip around town and then being criticised because it is no use for touring across europe with a full set of camping gear on board :)

MKA will have a better knowledge position re Noble and any good management team should already be drawing up the contingency plan/discussions with alternative financiers. Good thing is that we have the drill funding which when results start to come through will demonstrate what we have in the ground and will smooth the way for further funding - if it reaches that stage. and yes, a bit disappointing vis a vie SP today. Not sure what is being said on Twitterati, might have a look see.

Yep, and until we get a rig operational we shall remain comatose and likely to fall deeper into it. I hope to goodness that the time taken to secure this rig means that it is going to be on Jolly good terms indeed---

Some good news across the markets this morning, unfortunately we are not participating today.

50 drill pads, infrastructure and additional accommodation already in place. Technical etc visits over coming weeks. No doubt a few updates on what they have found to keep us on our toes. Agree--big news 2019, plenty of little bits on the journey through 2018. Ball rolling.

Maybe the rig owner is aware of the criticality of the hire and is looking for a premium for it. Whatever ZEN manage to agree, the equipment and crew need to be up to the job and more which could be part of the reason for the time taken and to allow ZEN to satisfy them selves that it is. No 'on the cheap' deal for this one please. Another month away for any Z21 results now by the looks of it. In the meantime, we wait and enjoy the summer.
