Zeb. Each pipe section is about 30-35ft long but they join 3 together to make what is known as a 'stand' and then they rack it in to derrick. This way, when they run in and out o f the hole they do it with 3 x the length of one pipe, therefore 3 x faster than doing it with singles as Zen have been doing so far with the small rig.

They are probably waiting because they may have the other bits required to use the rotary table--I dunno, but once they start drilling using a particular method ( one or the other) it is better to continue with it, therefore better to wait a bit for the T Drive and use it. I also doubt they are ready to start drilling anyway, last picture showed me that there was still a bit of work to do. i.e there was no pipe deck or racks for the drill pipe in place ( not much work, but nevertheless indicates they are not ready).
Ironically after an inordinate amount of time to get the site ready and set up, the first section of the drill could be all over within a day !. Anyhow, interest lost, no longer really care, it will be what it will be.

AJW. Zen are not doing a side track well. They are doing a straightforward extension of the existing well to test the payzone further down in two stages. First one is a day or so drilling, second one should be about 10 days-20 days. They will be using it to showcase their own rig and to confirm/refute the potential game changer over there. July for news there I suggest. The first carrot is the alleged 700bbls produced from a nearby well when drilled years ago (drill stage 1) the second carrot is to test a so far under explored or tested zone deeper by some 250 or so metres. Straight up and down, no bendy bits. (stage 2). Stage 2 Could be somewhere near to what has been discovered here. Might be jack ships. depends on the geological interpretation and competence of whoever has come up with the scheme. ahem. ! Signing off

Having said the below comment. They should have ordered it bl**dy thing, it makes life easier and twice/three times as fast and if they had someone with a clue, it would have been high up on the original shopping list.

The part required is not required. folk here and across at Block continue to spout bollicks about the 'essential' or the 'basic requirements for drilling' or 'hey numpty, they cant drill without a top drive'. Half the rigs in the world are drilling without one.
So far, all of the interventions have been done without such a thing. Tbh I'm not sure that the Bloe rig had one either. may have done, I didn't notice.
If anyone want to watch You tube, search for "Patriot Energy Rig Site Drilling Process" it gives a reasonable description of the drill process, there was no top drive to be seen.

Ok with the 20" pipeline of that's what they currently use--better than a 4" eh? Have they actually signed the offtake contact yet? An earlier rns states that Bago will take the gas approx. 8 weeks after signing or is it more the case of the wheels are in motion and it will come together at some point on the basis that both parties have a vested interest in making it happen.

Just wondering where the notion of a 20" LP line came from?
How long will the planning permission take and who will be responsible for it?

RH. We are still a month away before kick off, we should see the price increasing end of the his month.. just my thoughts. We need news on the top drive dispatch and then factor in the delivery time. Then folk can get a better handle on the timing. Hope we can at least stay above 3p over the next couple of weeks waiting period.

Some corrections.
A top drive is NOT essential. They can drill without it with no problem. Drilling is done using the rotary table. It is however a slower process. It was however a dumb oversight not to include it. All of their workovers to date have been completed without one, therefore not essential.
The last fund raise for the top drive was a small amount of cash and not a huge fund raise as mentioned by Degsy, unlike 12million raised at Bloe which has increased the shares in issue by around 30% and everyone has been diluted as a result.
Zen have so far however, been hopeless or unlucky, one or the other whereas BLOE have been extremely lucky.
One could argue that BLOE have failed miserably in their geological interpretation and are equally as incompetent in that respect, they were 3 times our from their estimated figure.. The only difference is that Bloe's errors turned out positive.
I am not defending Zenith here at all, their performance has been dire so far. I am in both Stocks and bought my first shares here at 2.95p. I promoted Bloe on the Zen board at the time and one or two folk put some cash here as a result of that and have made themselves some money, therefore the mention of opportunities on other stock's bb's is the way to share the knowledge and wealth. Anyone not prepared to look underneath another stone to see what's there is small minded and blinkered. Zen SP will increase from where it is, whether they extract oil is anyone's guess, but if anyone is interested in making some money then don't dismiss it based upon the past or what others believe to be the future.

S7, looking at the latest tweep, there is still quite a bit of work to do yet. Another two weeks at a guess, just in time for the top drive. 4 weeks at least to start drilling. A good time for anyone with any money left to add or buy in. Around 8 weeks ish for folk to potentially double their money....market forces allowing of course.

Recovery, p'haps some folk returning from Casp after the 60% rise. A little premature over there possibly, anyhow, sense should prevail and thAt 12million a year is something to give comfort before the next huge accretive stage.

No, it means that spooked investors and traders have and are still jumping ship on spurious rumour. But a few more tanks and trucks would be handy.

If they get these wells flowing and if they get the full licence and if they can prove that the wells are linked as one structure.. mcap is already 160million, could be.a Billion company if it all comes together.

Confirmation of no immediate need for cash would boost the sp though. The way the price has tanked one would think that they have stopped flowing oil.

Well done mate, you may have solved the problem of what Block energy can do with the excess oil that Georgia cannot currently handle. Re-inject it into Azer via pipeline and compressor station into Kafarli. Nice one. By the way, pity your prediction of results by 7th May didn't materialise.
Did anyone actually get a reply about the site visit by the way?
