I s'pose they could have done the same as Haywood has done at Block and raise 12million with a 30% dilution in one swipe and then issue another million or so to pay mates for favours erm I mean work or advice or whatever. Haywood wants to buy up lumps of dirt and add some storage, the Cat has bought a rig and other equipment, same difference. both discounted and dilutive.

AJW et al. Just been looking at that mast picture again, there are definitely no guides fitted, so they are part of the 3 truck package and will be installed before the top drive can be hooked up. I mentioned before that a motivated crew could probably get the guides up the mast within a couple of days but ffs don't hold me to it, this is Zen after all.

Due to the presence of oil being produced from Djeno we have decided to contract a bigger rig and drill a further 100m into the formation. Unless we can demonstrate reliable flow data from this zone we are unable to produce an industry standard CPR as at the moment we have just a couple of jars of oil that have managed to seep through and past the cement plug and stack of data (guesswork) from some burger. We will let you know once we have secured an appropriate rig and crew, we expect the rental contract to be completed within the next 3 months and drilling to start in Q4. We will need a few quid to be getting on with it and will invite our institutional buddies to buy in at 6.5p to make themselves a bit of cash for the inconvenience of making the investment. We believe this to be the most cost effective and operationally prudent option to enable us to make us a nice profit...oh.. yeah,..I mean profit for shareholders (almost forget them)
Just sayin---that's what I might be tempted to do. There is a 98% drilled hole where drilling was abandoned because the rig was not up to it and the well bore was getting mullered (O&G Terminology) so instead of starting a new well and all the huge cost, just carry on a bit with this one or maybe sidetrack the cement plug and bypass any damaged areas, drill down and establish a nice clean entry into the Djeno.
Anyhow, what they will do will be entirely different no doubt.

Cheers mate, was reading some of the nonsense posted over the last day or two. it seems that folk think that gas will miraculously deliver itself to the national grid gas transmission system as soon as the drill bit breaks through to the gas bearing zone..as if someone can fit a tap onto the top of the drill pipe and run a hose across into the nearest compressor station of or something. They probably think there is a massive cavern under the ground full of gas that just needs releasing. First gas through the mud may well get vented off into atmosphere without attracting any attention. I would be tempted to go that route just so far as the vent stack is high enough to disperse the gas and prevent it drifting down onto those protesters and causing an explosion. Anyhow--we may get some feedback from the site over the weekend or Monday wrt depth of hole or first gas etc. ATB see you on Zen.---another few weeks wait over there.

If folk sell up today because there is no news then they are fools and have no clue about what they are invested in. The drill is turning and progress is being made and they have yet to reach their target. they only just cemented last week and started drilling again Sunday, there is 5-600metres to drill before TD from last weekend which means 2 weeks at least. This board is like listening to a bunch of kids asking if we are nearly there yet and if we are not nearly there I want to go home and miss all the fun because I'm a spoilt brat. Gas zone will come first, they may just drill straight through it and carry on to TD. First job is get the drill completed safely and without fekking up the well bore. gas zone may be hit this weekend possibly today if they had and easy section and good ROP.

Rainbow chasers appear to be selling up this morning, a couple of short weeks to hold on for a decent gain. Oh well.

Its not actually slow is it. They started drilling again on Sunday some time, ROP is typically 30-50m perday, therefore 5 days or so to reach the gas target area. Rig is not the most up to date and impressions from the short video on the rig crew, they are not busting a gut to make those connections in record time but progress is being made and they can only drill as fast as is prudent or as fast as the rig can manage with adding weight to the bit and keeping it rotating safely. No worries, have drilled with equipment 4 x as big and managed to get 10m a day at some point. deep well, high pressure and temperature, tricky stuff. They will be going as quickly as they feel safe to go. Timescales in drilling or very approximate, give or take 20%.

Also, their forward plans are coming together following advice from external specialists which is better than just fiddling around with different random solutions that invariably don't work and cost money and time.

why would mm's be in for a shock? Surely they would be jolly happy if you are implying that there will be a lot of trades.

So--most things aligning for circa September onwards if they come together. A8 interim news once core sample results have been obtained and the 'bottom' of the oil bearing rock reached. Could be a good Christmas if that licence arrives in time for the deep wells to flow straight to international prices

One thing is pretty much for sure... Price has more chance of going up than down over the next few weeks. Where it ends up is another matter, but for profit hunters, a profit is just about nailed on here now.

Depends what "everything" means. :) But, I guess they will reach the stage of asking have they got "enough" to cover most foreseeable events to enable them to start drilling. They have had long enough to decided ffs so one would hope so by now. Have you got your purse out yet DS1 or still waiting for the kick off?.

Not the fastest in the world innit. No matter really, better to be chilled out I guess.

Anyone know whether they have actually started drilling since the cement job? If this vid is recent from yesterday as it appears then I guess they are just about to or have only just started today which means end of the week or next weekend for that gas news and another week after for the oil news.
