Nope. Easier to raise the mast, lower the travelling block and hook on the top drive from the rotary table, connect th hoses, chuck the bales on it and raise it up. Mornings work. However, who knows with this rig.

Good update. Sidetrack A5 was the obvious choice in the first place, I think I posted as much at the time, This time next year Rodney.
Lack of full license for mjf is a slight worry, I wonder why it is not in place. 1450 at $65 is better than at $19 and would pay for the sidetrack.
Question for the regular experts... do you think a raise is coming after the good news today. Have they got funds for A5 (again) and all of the other work planned. . Or are directors still funding with loans.
Looks like there is still a little way to go before A8 goes on test.

gg, Thanks for the kind wishes. Hopefully we will see that mast up pretty soon, maybe this week and then some equipment tests in preparation for that Bladdy top drive arrival. Hooking that thing up and testing it should really only be a day and could be done alongside other activities. ATB, off on holiday in a couple of hours, will look in when I get connected somewhere.

Not sure exciting is going to happening this week, but agree there is considerable upside to this price even as it stands at 5x the not so long ago 3p. 50-60p is realistic without the gas play.

Star, it would be better if you do not post stuff that you don't understand. If you had read my post last week, I explained that no top drive does not mean they cannot drill. Rotary table and pipe spinner was mentioned in my note. They could also start drilling before the top drive arrives and retrofit it afterwards at some juncture when they pull back out of the hole for any reason. Top drive makes the process of running in and out of the hole quicker, that's all.The thing I am still angry about is losing the momentum and excluding investors from any future buying. Timing of the raise was bad news. They probably agreed the sum and the price before we had our little rally to 4p and of course, the agreed figure was far lower and did the company and us no favours at all.

Zeb, the italian rig choice is/was one on my whinges also, especially when we were supposed to be buying that monster BQ500 that had almost zero history in the field. Nobody else is using it, so what does that tell you. discussions between Zen and BRobots lead to this refurbished white elephant of a rig with no doubt unique componets that are unavailable anywhere in the world other than via ransom through b robots. maybe am being harsh, tbh, I have never really taken to Italian stuff, Italian equipment, food, people or italy in general, not even ther cars, unless its 68 muira sprint. Still pixxed off that I didnt do what my subconscious was telling me, sell up, by bloe. I just had 2k in there which I sold couple of days ago for 8500. Like most companies we never get all of the information. However, the tweets are not incorrect. They can still be erecting the mast as mentioned and if they don't get a top drive they can still start drilling. The main problem here today is the bl**dy fund raise at a p*xy figure and folk mis interpreting. And the possibility of forward selling after pumping the stock yesterday which if it is the case is bad form.

Both from S7 Post earlier. I wouldn't bet on it, but they are talking dispatch around 18th, They will need to look at faster delivery route than the 2-3 weeks route taken before.
Once it arrives, reverse the vehicle up to the pipe deck, hook it up to a winch and drag it up to the drill floor, wind down the Travelling block and hook it on, connect the hydraulics, test it to make sure the hoses are the right way round, stick the mud line on it and wind it back up again. N.Sea tigers would have it done and operational in a morning with pipe being run in in the afternoon. We shall see lol.

Yep. Still huge upside from here. Next phase is a few weeks off therefore no issues with folk selling up, trading or profit taking. It is the way to make money if it can be timed right. Keeping my few in a SIPP for the foreseeable 6-12 months anyway. Funny thing is that the prospect of the SP reaching 15p a couple of weeks ago was a bit of a ramp and slightly wishful thinking, now it has become a total panic that the price has dropped to such a ridiculously low level.

The top drive hangs off that big hook at the top, but it does need some sort of guide which is connected to the mast to stop the whole thing spinning. Top drive makes it quicker to join/disconnect drill pipe when running in and out of the hole. They could do the job without it by making up pipe joints with a pipe spinner that clamps onto the drill pipe at the drill floor level. We used to call it the motorbike for some odd reason, but in general it would be slower using this method. So in answer, they certainly should be able to fit the top drive after the mast is up, especially on the basis that if it needed replacing, drilling companies would not want to dismantle the entire mast just to maintain or replace the T.D. Hopefully that guide I am on about is integral to the mast structure but in any case, if not then they would have to drag it up there with a tugger have a couple of guys swinging around in the derrick and retrofit the thing. In theory it should not materially hold things up too much if they get it delivered within the two weeks mentioned. Drilling was never going to start until end of May in any case.
I would like to know what part of the mud system they need though lol. Probably forget the storage tank or the agitator or the pumps.
Did they order a shaker system I wonder? and what will they do with the cuttings--

Capn. Its unlikely that the next drill will be better. If it is half as good as 16Z it will still give another 7-8 million a year and the SP should be double from what it is now. Consolidation time, bit up, bit down, yes. What Bloe needs is a way to monetise the stuff and get it to market.

Been unable to get a sell price for 10mins through hFX it was obvious they wanted the price down. Now at 16.5, can get a price.

Was sorely tempted to sell yesterday between trains when I logged in and saw the price at 4p. So damned annoying. I have mentioned mud systems and would have liked to have seen some of the kit in the tweets. I was unable to see a top drive on that drilling mast in the pics but thought perhaps my eyes were deceiving me, but nope.

This is also my concern. They cant move it as it is but if they have the skills and the balls to do it, many of the components can remain in place and be moved across in larger pieces on huge trailers. The transportation would need some serious planning and no doubt the trailers would need to be fitted with various supports to prop up the structures as they get moved across. Say instead of the 100 trucks needed for the Italy move, they might get away with about 10 ( that lada niva wont manage it though). The mast would have to come to pieces but hopefully the blocks, top drive and other wires etc can remain. It will no doubt be a slow process, most of which should be in the planning stage. I made a comment a few weeks ago that C37 needs to be a huge result, it was meant in the context that it has to be to justify the effort with the ground preparation, civil engineering and the time taken to get it rigged up. I am just wondering whether that modified A100 which is now effectively an A120 would do the necessary onward drilling. (Wherever it may be nowadays). This huge 260 is the sort of thing you set up for a new deep well with it being In position for 6 months. I said yesterday it was "like a sledge hammer knocking in a drawing pin" and is probably way over the top for what we are currently doing. At least they cannot say that it is underpowered or couldn't cope with the pressures and depth!. I am keen to see how they do it also. You never know, b robotics may surprise us with their design and we find that they can actually move it one piece---straight line, flat hard ground at 1mph or less---now that would be something to tweet about. Nearly there with this one matey. June for results though.
