Eric appears to have entered into the agreement with Ok Dollar so that he can get the remittance service up and running while Mysq wait for the license . There is nothing to stop them adding more remittance channels while they wait .The service team at Mysq have been developing their own mobile money wallet and I would expect Eric will want to switch to this ASAP once the license lands as there is good money to made when the remittance money moves on out of the wallet , hence the 30 day notice for termination of contract .
The current contract involves sharing the revenue from the Singapore remittance channel with Uber Remit , while OkDollar take their cut when the money moves out of their wallet.A possible reason for for the 60 day termination of contract with Uber could be that Mysq might want to obtain their own remittance license in Singapore at a future date and avoid sharing the remittance revenue .To apply for a license you need to be a Singapore registered business with one of the directors being a permanent resident in Singapore ,plus 100,000 Singapore dollars (£56,000) approximately set aside in the bank. Mysq already have a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore under the name of Squar PTE Limited so the possibility is there .Might be getting ahead of thing's on this last point but it's worth a thought .
