2016- oil prices were at rock bottom $28 a barrel , a lot of companies didn't survive . Petroteq have now moved the upgraded plant to where the mine is situated ,cutting out having to transport the unprocessed material 10 miles to the old site and thus saving a further $6 a barrel in costs .This together with a $34 increase in oil prices gives the new plant a far better economic climate to start up in and every chance of success.

Maximum allowable daily production per well at Forest Hill Gilbreath 18 - 155 barrels per day. Gilbreath 19-. 155 barrels per day Gilbreath 46-. 124 barrels per day Gilbreath 48-. 62 barrels per day Total allowable production per day from the 4 wells 496 barrels . This gives Eddie plenty of headroom when they start to stimulate the wells - (current production from 4 wells 187 barrels per day at Forest Hill )..

Looking back to the 13/02/18 rns the Morris 1 well flowed at a rate of 24-26 bopd from the upper anacacho formation and also reported on 08/11/17 the same well flowed at a rate of 74 barrels over an 18 hour period from the lower anacacho formation.At present Eddie appears to be concentrating on getting this well up and producing asap.Once this has been achieved Mayan will then have a good guideline for production levels as they seek to obtain further wells at Stockdale . Originally it was stated that there were 10 more wells suitable for work over at Stockdale with approximately 80,000 to180,000 barrels of potential recoverable reserves in each . Plenty of news to come .

David Sealock the new CEO of Petroteq is doing a presentation about the company at the Micro Cap Conference in New York next Monday 09/04 /18. I wonder if we will get an update on Asphalt Ridge before he attends?

Looking forward to seeing the production and sales figures which are soon to be released .Eddie stated in 23/02/2018 rns that the company was homing in on the target of 300/500 bopd. With the oil price currently at $64/65 per barrel ,low production costs and high netbacks just consider how much these target's will be worth to Mayan as they are achieved .

Petroteq share price has had a strong morning , currently showing a 12% rise on the back of the news release .Just a pity it wasn't put out a couple of hours later then Eddie could have released the rns at 7am tomorrow and given Mayan more exposure on the share risers board with a full days trading . As it is the Mayan share price was marked down below the bid and ask price at the close of play ,thus removing Mayan from the risers board overnight and decreasing how many people pick up on the good news. However plenty more news to come ,two week's tomorrow since the last update from Forest Hill so an rns could land for all three of the final workovers .
