Last year prior to the handover in August, I seem to remember the target for the wash plant was 10/12k tonnes pm with handover to ILTL targeting well in excess of that with the expected contracts.
With that in mind and the start up of the wash plant , regardless of ink on paper 3/4k tonnes pm should be a starting point and easily achievable. Feeding a powerplant will take considerably more effort and expansion and that will (if all goes ahead) need to be completed in under 4 years. I can see the comments now ''it's taken 4 years to get where we are now 400 tonnes pm'' so ILTL take over is a must.

The timing of the results and the AGM, for me has been quite deliberate, we have the end of June, (almost) for the results and the last trading day in July for the AGM. It would be no surprise to me if there was an operational update (upbeat) before the AGM. They have 3 weeks for that to happen.
All guesswork on my part as in the past hanging onto results has never been a good sign, this time I think is different, one thing for sure we will know in 3 weeks.

JEZZAC, all good news, what gets me is what do these naysayers think the new investors put their money into, as far as I'm aware we are a coal mine that is going to supply local and industrial customers plus an onsite coal fired generator and we are now starting something that should have been started some years ago albeit partly out of EDL's hands, so if people think that the likes of RAB etc. have made a big mistake they should be advising them.
As Aerial has said before not long now!

Whatever the state of coal the outlook for it's twilight years would seem to be extremely lucrative.

We're into July when news of contracts is expected let's see what they can succeed in producing this Q.

Aerial, information release has never been EDL's strong point but I assume that the due diligence undertaken by the new investors has given them the motive to invest in EDL, we will never be party to that info we can only see the end results.
The CPP onsite will have to be progressed rapidly if it is to be in service for 2026, I wonder who will be the engineering company involved, will Mbeya also be part of that power progression?
The target for EDL I believe was 2020/2 Magufuli certainly made a real mess of that.
Whatever coal will be EDL's source of income for sometime to include the expansion of mining activities.

The results income is as expected, the surprise is that currently there has been no attempt to take the SP down.
Anything positive re signing of contracts this has only one direction to go, July looks more like the start of a real transformational period for EDL. The run up to the year end the recovery of the SP with EDL actually showing some profit from that great heap of very dead coal.

To be fair to EDL, due to the pandemic they had little chance of making a great deal of income due to the pandemic, under the circumstances the results are better than I expected but the notes that you have quoted, tell me that things could progress rapidly regarding production and sales and I'm looking forward to the profit on every tonne.

Perhaps this time Xmas will be paid for, It is now looking good for the future of EDL, mind, we've waited a long time for it.

After a quick glance, it looks pretty positive for the coming months/year, achieving 3k tonnes PM doesn't look that impossible.
What we need now are the contracts, the onsite power plant still alive.
