Dangote, are looking at increasing cement production in Nigeria due to the advancing infrastructure building.
It would be reasonable to assume that TZ is also one of his targets for increased production.
Until we get that news release, we will not know how that will affect EDL, hopefully positive!

She is releasing on political prisoners from trumped up charges, improved relations with Kenya, trying to establish a C19 vaccination program, and knows full well that the economic success of TZ is dependant on electrification that is reliable.
Kigoma are building a small hydro plant for that area.
South West needs power for the interconnectors, Mbeya and Rukwa are in a position to provide it, so a decision will be coming we will have to see what that decision is.
In the meantime we need to get that coal out of the ground and into the market to meet the industrial needs.

Well SoS, even with the large trade yesterday, which I took to be a sell, there has only been a tiny portion of the new issue sold, hardly a stampede for the gate!
There has to be something going on in the background to warrant the new investment!

Just taken a look at the trades back to 10/11th of May, from then up to now it is almost a complete sea of red with a steady drop in the SP.
I wonder (as no doubt we all do) how low they will let this go before any news release?

SoS, I will be watching the share price with a top up in mind.
Once the news release begins, this will catch a few out.
There has to be more than a couple of tonnes per month to encourage the recent investors and they will be fully aware of what they have invested in.

No surprise really, LIND have the option as part of the settlement to accept shares, the value of which is decided by the previous qualifying period. It never fails to amaze me how the SP is dropped for that qualifying period, not that I'm saying that is the reason for the drop.
I would be surprised if LIND refused the shares, who would turn down a quick buck?
Of course that is just my view of things.

I have the same sentiments towards LIND they are ruthless.

If LIND decide on the share option it would be a display of confidence in whatever future EDL has planned, which is why I said it will be interesting

Was it not mentioned that LIND would be offered the option of part cash and part shares, unless I misread that bit, not that that matters a great deal as the debt will be cleared whatever they choose.

The loan with LIND, will be interesting to see how they finally agree on the settlement, share options etc.

Until the handover to ILTL is cancelled with no prospects of it ever happening then there is no foundation for declaring "coal is dead" or EDL is no longer viable.
The agreement with ILTL states that ILTL will concentrate on international contracts whilst EDL will be responsible for local contracts. There's contracts waiting on the takeover by ILTL, NvS has stated that he will be looking for further contracts. The problem we have is the TZ gov. giving the OK to ILTL to move in.
By what stretch of the imagination can anyone claim that EDL will form a shell company when they have the resources, customers and profit on every tonne sold.
Granted C19 has been a huge spanner in the works plus Magufuli both beyond EDL's control.
I will wait to see what the next update says which will decide Which is the correct arguement, until then SoS can do as much guesswork as is necessary to make him happy, knowing that Honest John will always have his back.

We are now into June with no indication of the handover.
There will be no new contracts until the handover takes place so ILTL are the key to income.
Whatever contract they are fulfilling can't be that large so current income is a ??????
I assume that the results like last year will be September, we can all guess what they will be like!
So we need news/updates to deflect the effect of the results.
The current drop is hardly the result of someone dumping any large amounts.
The recent share issue has given us a Mcap of £8m as opposed to £4m.

Coal a minor part of EDL's future that may be the case and I will look forward to the day that becomes fact.
Any income from proposed diversification is some distance down the road.
Currently their only source of income is coal, although C19 has been a spanner in the works.
With 173m tonnes to be mined and a much larger licenced area to prospect it currently is their business.
So it is not unimportant.
Obviously we need the markets updating as to what
EDL's intentions are until then we can only use the sparce details that we have.

It would seem that oil majors are holding back on further oil projects, but have admitted that there's no problems with investment.
Renewables and green investments are still a small part of their interests. They are now pursuing natural gas .
Obviously more to that than I have posted.

Have a rich natural resources to be exploited.
This needs increased infrastructure and the skills to develop these resources. The problem they have is lack of power generation on a reliable basis by that I mean a sufficient supply 24/7.
Dismiss the Rukwa and Mbeya projects if you will but TZ
do not seem to have a large enough viable option currently.
