You never know we might get some information after the RNS.
The markets reaction is another matter as the acceptance of the proposal will be no surprise.

I remember a comment from a friend of mine some time ago when we were looking at the beach.

Not knowing the tide tables my friend made a very astute observation I quote "there's one thing for sure it's either coming in or going out". A true story, he has sadly passed away but his comment still makes me chuckle.

SoS, you are correct re Helium.
The two Durham scientists and their Oxford colleagues responsible for the analysis of the Rift discovery have said that the Rift Helium is the result of the volcanic formation of the Rift hence the higher concentration of Helium with zero hydrocarbons. Other Helium discoveries have been the result of hydrocarbon exploration. The chances of finding further Helium discoveries in similar rock formations will be something to be explored. Currently we have the richest and likely the largest discovery of Helium in the Rift and we are sat on top of this particular rock formation with a large prospecting area.
I have no doubt that a Helium licence would not be a problem and (if HE1 is a guide) would be issued in short time.
Diversification by EDL into Helium exploration may have more reasonable costs than packing their bags in to go looking for rare earth metals.
Just a thought.

Of course they will diversify and I agree that there's more on offer for the new investment but it would be to simple to dismiss coal when EDL are looking to sign new coal contracts as stated by NvS.
We know that ILTL will take over the running of the mine to supply customers outside of Tanzania with EDL
being responsible for local contracts.
At this moment in time coal is a necessary evil which will given time will change but any immediate income for EDL will be from coal.
Perhaps we shall have a better insight into EDLs future in the coming weeks.

Re African Report, should be AR not AF, which is atrial fibrillation, which of course I might get after this prolonged effort in EDL. LOL.

By what stretch of the imagination do you think that the calibre of the recent investors would donate money to
uncertain gains of prospecting when they have a rich asset available, bearing in mind that the CPP is not dead,.with a large licenced area available and enquiries on E, African power generation international contracts for coal available and local industrial demand for coal and now helium seems to be a talking point.
What I will agree to is they made a mess of the first attempts at producing commercial coal (wrong choice of area). Getting ILTL on board has not helped due to C19. We have yet to find out if that situation has improved.
What we do know is that the recent investors are no fools with their money and that they will have information, not available to us, which has encouraged them to invest in EDL.
Time of course could prove that you are correct but I think the chance of that is remote.

Hi Aerial, SSH, appears to be making a point of undoing Magufuli's damage, it was around the time that she visited Kenya. I tend to follow the AF (African Report) and other outlets. As the title says AF covers Africa and it's a matter of sifting through various articles.
Like all politicians I will judge SSH by her actions rather than what she preaches, although at this moment in time she appears to be having some effect on the countries administration. She does realise that C19 is not a small problem and that the people coming out of Tanzania are responsible for a big increase of variants.
She is intent on making TZ business friendly, to do that C19 has to be controlled, and a reliable source of energy is necessary for the countries economy, hopefully KIBO and EDL are included in those aims.
Let's see what happens next week.

Unlike Magufuli realises that C19 is highly infectious and controls need to be in place, even Madagascar now realises that herbal cures are not the answer.
TZ has yet to order any vaccines, how that will affect the import of ILTL remains to be seen.
The new president understands that her predecessors policies have seriously damaged not only the countries economy but also it's reliability for foreign investment.
Another long delay to the takeover by ILTL (I'm not saying that is going to happen) could be costly as it has already been.
It will be interesting to see how the discussions on the CFPP's.for both KIBO and EDL progress, as it would seem that they are not dead in the water.
Energy is still the key to the success of TZ and the surrounding countries hence the development of the international grid.

The summing up on your post covers the importance of EDL's location and current status. The talk of rare earth metals could be sometime on the future.
Regardless what some posters claim coal is still important to Edl that being their only means of income currently. We don't know if Helium is on the agenda, if it is it would explain the confidence NvS has in increasing the MCAP mirroring ARC min.
The new president seems to be making a point of being business friendly making things simpler for companies to deal with the gov. I'm expecting the next update to be substantial hopefully sooner rather than later.

NvS also states that he is pursuing further coal contracts to provide income to EDL.
March 3rd the company is still fulfilling existing contracts and pursuing further contracts with existing customers plus new customers.
The company is in discussions with the TZ gov regarding power generation at Rukwa.
The participation in the recent oversubscribed fund raise, does not point to a company that is dead in the water.
The recent interview with NvS, is his way of telling the market to expect a major change in the MCAP of EDL.
Albeit further shares to be issued as we progress.
This company will take a few by surprise possibly in the next few weeks with the finances on place.
This for me is the opportunity to recover my original investment plus a substantial bonus but that is my opinion having averaged down to a level that could be surpassed with the next update and if not after 10,yes plus a few more weeks won't matter.
So SoS I hope your own strategy gives you more satisfaction than what you portray on this board.

The concentration of Helium in the Rift valley is the result of a volcanic process, no hydrocarbons unlike other discoveries that have low concentrations mixed with natural gas.
Prospecting similar rock formations as the Rift, could result in further Helium discoveries globally.
Rukwa I believe has the richest source of Helium.
I can't see NvS ignoring such an opportunity.
It would also explain the enthusiastic support for the recent fund raise.
Of course I could be way off the mark and we could be selling up and moving out.

NvS has already stated that he intends to to increase the coal contracts using the coal as a source of income!
He also said that that edl will diversify and that the new investors could be persuaded to invest further.
His ambitions extend beyond coal but he will not waste the asset that he has available for cash flow.

We've been through this range before if they are trying to trigger stop losses, as far as I can see it's not that successful. I would imagine when we sail past 40p we shall see more profit taking.

If we go for helium we could exceed a all our expectations.
It would seem that we could be sat on one of the world's richest sources of helium, 10% concentration.
Other global deposits have mere fractions of a % (.03/.1 %) plus the Rift valley deposits are larger than originally thought.
Let's hope that NvS has helium on his list of diversification.
