There's nothing in the previous update to suggest they are struggling to pay their way. They are continuing to work with ILTL and pursuing further contracts.
The concern is who will take over from Magufuli?
I can't see any decisions being taken until his health is decided?, ??? on a ventilator at the mo. Who would risk upsetting him?

I'm more interested in what happens when Magufuli realises it will take more than a penny in the Meter to get a spark from Rufiji and he has to find a way of engaging the coal men without losing face, I'm assuming of course that he will recover from C 19, if not we could be in a different ball game.

It would seem that Magufuli is in hospital with C 19 symptoms and several high ranking officials are suspected to have died as a result of C 19.

Figures are what we need. I'm curious as to whether JM's estimate of income per 1k tonne of coal is still relevant and how that relates to the latest profit on every tonne of coal sold, I would imagine his estimate will have some modifications.

My view of the RNS (I could be a mile out) after re reading it is, they are putting everything in place before the formal handover at which point they will go into increased production to fill the expected increase in demand. It may not be that long to find out, my glass is no where near empty.

Where ever you live or whatever your occupation there's always one that tries to sell something that doesn't work or doesn't exist, always with a smile and polished teeth.

You are correct coal will come to an end when there is the technology that is able to supply sufficient energy to replace coal.
Coal has never been dead since ancient man dug it up from the north Yorkshire moors 3,000 years ago, Africa will need coal for some years yet and that is not including India etc, that is why two of the largest investment companies are almost neck and neck with the billions they've invested in coal

I read from that RNS that the handover is in progress and unlike previous vague dates a definite date will be given when everything is in place and the formal handover will take place and ILTL will forge ahead with production and new contracts.

If my memory is correct, the original aim for EDL was a Rukwa power plant as well as supplying east Africa coal for power generation so that they became a major supplier. I'm going back to when even SoS was a keen investor in EDL.
Whether that is linked to the current proposals I don't know.
As I have said there's more to this RNS than has been written. Although the handover is a fiasco, the RNS gives more than a hint of where EDL is going, no doubt others will have a different view which they are entitled to. As NvS has stated this is not a 2 to 3 month quick profit share (what a statement) LOL.

Mention the silence yesterday but I don't see anybody fighting to get out of the door. The power generation has been mentioned in the past and I believe the reason for the in interest on the last placement, there's more to this RNS than has been written.

Aerial, I read most posts on this board, and I agree if the large investors are content to put their money into EDL then I will watch and wait and top up as I see fit. The problem with EDL is keeping the share holders updated but that is a 10 year habit, we will eventually find out what is happening at Rukwa, but that is no excuse for the silence.
Things will change with the next update which will most likely be preceded by a change in the volume traded.

As I've said before RAB are no mugs, they and the other investors can see good returns, the placement was/is a big buy recommendation for me assuming a little will trickle down to us lowly PI's.
Re SoS sad person really, I hope he can find something to brighten his day up.
