Just listened to that interview, I couldn't help but smile at his comment on a quick buck. I know he was referring to new investors but after 10yrs plus it seemed a little ironic. He is looking at several years ahead if all goes well, at least the power plant is still being considered.
No date yet on the takeover?

I see Magufuli is still denying the existence of covid in Tanzania and claiming the vaccines are useless.
It does make you wonder what his motives are. He is not recording deaths or the number of infections in the country.
It will no doubt have an economic effect on Tanzania, which he denies, so much for his education.

Aerial, It's not the first time A Ms presence has been queried, so I re read the RNS, I think AMs influence over the current operations would be too important to not inform the markets via RNS if he went missing.
If this is the month for real change then we haven't long to wait.
The new contracts that both parties have been working on to come into effect when ILTL take over could prove to be a game changer but that's me speculating.

I have never bought into KIBO (YET), I was of the mind that (regardless of the much lower Mcap) that EDL would beat KIBO to the finishing line, the plan being when that was reached to divert the (ahem) profits into KIBO, and that could still be the case, of course the big X factor re, Magufuli's loose nuts and bolts, was the cause of a little disruption in that plan.
With the latest news release, the plan could well be back on course, as you say we could be looking forward to a very lucrative period, not long before we know,

There's too much to be made from this point with the right news.

EDL is getting less of a gamble ,there are still a few uncertainties but I am getting more and more comfortable with EDL, we shall know fairly soon whether we have made the right choice.
The two stocks that I mentioned have been long haul, I was in ARC when it was KTS before it merged with Arcontec, it now pays a regular dividend, SEE was another long term but has now a wide range of applications globally.

After 10 yrs. it looks as if this is at last going to pay.
If this performs as well as ARC and now SEE which is flying at the mo then my averaging down efforts will have been worth while. Not long before I know.

It would seem that the markets are waiting for confirmation of a definite date for ILTL moving in, at this moment in time we have a vague Feb. which as we know could be next week or anytime after that judging by the previous dates given.
once confirmation is given of ILTL moving in the markets will make the most of that opportunity and people will be paying a lot more for this share than currently. If that is accompanied by figures then it is any ones guess where this price will be.
Averaging down may not be the best of strategies but in this share I am satisfied that it will be a wise decision.

I find it hard to believe that the long term holders or the fairly recent holders that bought into the ILTL agreement would sell at this moment in time when (according to the RNS) we will have ILTL installed and new contracts when they take over, meaning increased production and for EDL immediate profits (if all is to be believed). This is the very thing that both sets of investors have bought into, so who are the parties selling???
In a few weeks if all goes well we should be saying goodbye to these low values. I would hope that by the end of Feb. we shall know the answer.

No surprise that the bid is holding, I think the odds are in favour of a blue finish today. Better and better as we get close to Feb.
Obviously there are no guarantees but the odds are starting to lean in favour of EDL.

Of EDL will be transformed in Feb. with the anticipated takeover by ILTL, and multiple contracts, into a profit making company with expected income to not only expand operations at Rukwa but, with the help of RAB etc. to expand the company's portfolio into new projects. The next 12 months and future years look very promising. Apart from the short term profit takers who would want to be out of this over the weekend, as a long term holder a decent return on my investment is now in sight. Little else to say other than I will add as I rdsee fit. GLA.
