Not sure what gaps you are talking about Rider, or indeed what shorts? We've got the placing out of the way (and the associated forward selling), we've had a further connection to Japan through Pulawy (which Will has reposted on LinkedIn), Will and Alex have been speaking at a major RE conference in Canada, and we are due a large amount of transformative news in the next three months. Don't think gaps or shorts will be that relevant, if at all.

FinePrint, I think the large majority of the placing has either been forward sold or is in sticky hands, so don't expect lots of resistance from placees selling now. That is based on previous experience here and the SP reaction since the raise last week.

SP ripping higher, perhaps the Adamas conference has been going very well!

More weird price action today, with all the little trades and dropping bid 1p out of nowhere. Patience is all that is required here.

Gold at $3,775, this move is starting to look parabolic.

Good to see Gold close to reaching the $3,750 target that was predicted after breaking about above$3,430 just three weeks ago, and quickly as expected. Will be interesting to see if it pauses here for a rest or just keeps climbing towards next $4,000 target. General investors starting to move into this sector, both bullion and gold stocks, just as we are expecting a run of big SP catalysts. What a great time to be a Greatland shareholder.

Elemental Group about the receipt of a $300m grant from the Polish government / EU TCTF program for their metals recycling plant (not rare earths as far as I can see). In the post they refer to being only one of two Polish projects to receive strategic project status under the EU’s CRMA. We know the other one… perhaps a sizeable Polish government grant is on the cards for Pulawy too.

We have received a government grant of PLN 1.038 billion from Ministry of Economic Development and Technology (approx. USD 300 million) under the EU’s TCTF program for the implementation of the #Polvolt project in Zawiercie – a hub for the production of #strategicmetals.

As part of the project, a plant will be built in Zawiercie to produce metals of key importance for the Polish and European economy: #copper, #silver, and #gold, as well as a #refinery for #batterymetals: #lithium, #cobalt, and #nickel. In Zawiercie, metals used in strategic industries will be recovered, including those for the energy, defense, automotive, and telecommunications sectors.

Elemental Battery Metals’ investment is one of two Polish projects included on the European Union’s strategic projects list under the #CriticalRawMaterialsAct. Our Polish plant in Zawiercie will recover critical metals from materials sourced from 100 Elemental Group facilities across 35 countries.

In total, approximately USD 1 billion will be invested in Zawiercie over a period of seven years.

The Polvolt project is the largest investment carried out by a private entity in the strategic sector in Poland.

“The Polvolt project is another Elemental Group investment in Poland, in Zawiercie. This investment responds to the demand of the Polish and European markets for critical raw materials. (…) At the same time, it is proof of the important role Poland has the chance to play in the strategic raw materials economy,” said Maciej Dudzic, CEO of Elemental Battery Metals

According to Paweł Jarski, Founder and CEO, Elemental Group:

The grant for the implementation of the investment in Zawiercie is a strategic action taken by the government to increase Poland’s security in the area of strategic metals. We recover 9 strategic metals in our plants: cobalt, nickel, lithium, copper, silver, gold, platinum, palladium, and rhodium. It is worth emphasizing that the potential of the plant operating since last year in Zawiercie is 12,000 tons of #batteries and 6,000 tons of #catalysts recycled per year. As the Elemental Group, we process over 40,000 tons of #PCBs and over 110,000 tons of electronic waste annually. The technology and organization behind processing these materials constitute a core competence of our economy.

Minerals security and trade deals are top of mind in Washington...a new bipartisan Senate bill touches both. Here’s what it means ⬇️

Chinese market manipulation makes it incredibly difficult for the U.S. and other nations to get critical minerals projects off the ground. The “Restoring American Mineral Security Act” would forge an alliance with U.S. trading partners. 

1) Alliance members would match U.S. tariffs on mineral goods and related products from China—harmonizing countermeasures for greater impact.  

2) At the same time, the bill would zero out tariffs amongst member countries on critical minerals—supporting trade among aligned nations and supporting a race to the top.

This is a much-needed step for allies to jointly work against the price advantage that China has built for years.

Flundra, I was also of the same view when the listing was first announced. However, listening to Will and Alex they have never hinted at this option or described the listing as a funding source for Mkango, which changed my original view. It's definitely still a possibility though and would always be an alternative to a future raise, as velcro says.

Agreed velcro. They have the option to sell some of their holding at time of listing to bring in some cash, but their communications to date haven't suggested that they will.

70k been placed on the bid at 36p in the closing auction. Money is out there looking to enter.

There have been some more weird batches of small trades and movement in the bid / ask without any reported trades that would justify it.

A couple of things. I had thought that the 50k sells were either Stewart Newton selling more or a potential placing being forward sold. It has now all but been confirmed that it was forward selling i.e. the 50k sells seem to have stopped today (so far at least).

In terms of the large amount of cash coming from the MKAR SPAC listing I'm not so sure. The PIPE financing will raise funds for MKAR activity (developing Songwe and Pulawy projects), rather than Mkango activity. We may choose to sell some of our holding in MKAR as part of the listing I suppose, to raise funding for Mkango, but I'm not sure how likely this will be. I think the free cashflow from the Tyseley and German plants is the more likely near term source of funding at the parent level. Just my view, and could be off the mark.

Don't get me wrong, I would have preferred a raise direct with an institution, at a higher SP, so we didn't get the forward selling and downward pressure on the SP. But a 3% dilution, with half warrant at 50% above the raise price, is a decent deal (particularly given the massive rise in SP in the last year) and has answered the question on balance sheet strength, allowing us to move forward and the SP to fully react to all the positive news to come.

That's not exactly true nen. People got shot down for suggesting we were going to fill a gap at 17p and that we needed a massive raise. People got shot down for suggesting that we needed to fund the SPAC listing or fund Hypromag USA, both of which were proved to be incorrect. You will see that the reason for the raise was mainly to pay remaining German commissioning costs and further develop UK plant, those were items that many of us correctly identified as potentially needing more money. So those that predicted the raise were obviously correct, but they weren't correct on all those other fronts, which were intended to mislead people. The market has given it's verdict and so far it's extremely positive.

Lots of 50k delayed reported buys from just after open.
