jamesroo, I support what you state here, wholeheartedly - as in walking the walk. There are so many areas where we can all give back, not just to pensioners. You say it's an area for further debate, well many people don't choose to chat about the giving back, they get out there, in the real world, and get on with it. Unlike some of the politicians who want their names up in lights, those who truly give back, don't need their virtues extolling. You're 100% correct, it's the little things that are meaningful, especially to the recipients.

calisto, at least my MP, Andrea Jenkyns, entered politics for the right reasons - as she's not some political careerist - and her thought process is aligned to my own (thank goodness) further her rise was that clown EB's fail and fall.

BJ, back in 2016 pre the referendum I revisited all the EU scripting of yesteryear and arrived at - how the heck are we gonna escape? In conclusion and in voting to leave, never for one moment was I of the opinion that any of it would be plain-sailing. Nor, in exercising our democratic rights, did I believe any of us could have foreseen the level of resistance from the opposition. The latter, is what has not been managed in my view - hence the failure in the change management and Leadership. Well TM certainly won't go down in the history books as being a Democratic Transformational Leader - for sure. In appreciating that none of us would wish to be in her shoes, TM must surely realise that she has failed on virtually all counts, in her remit.

BJ, the rule of law and the judiciary putting this to the test is imo more than interesting, due to the "no deal, is the default option" school of thought, let alone the 29th March. From the legal and scholarly perspective it would seem that in the absence of parliamentary approval, it is not the legal default. Hence why I mentioned the judiciary putting it to the test, is where we are at, in first joining this debate.
