RE: Let down10 Apr 2019 14:14
used the phrased last week in a mentoring role. Add to it, "You can have great teachers, but if you don't have a good principal you won't have a good school"
Add to that, "The price of greatness is responsibility" and "All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honour, duty, mercy, hope. (WC)
Additionally, albeit WC was one of the founding fathers of the EU he also said " only when plans for uniting Europe take a federal form that we cannot take part, because we cannot subordinate ourselves or the control of British policy to federal authorities"
Perhaps a pre-requisite to any marking on a ballot paper should include for a quick test concerning federalism and it's meaning. Or even pose the question/s, "are you a federalist/can you define federalism?"
In reflecting on the history of politics in this country one can draw ones own conclusions as to how this debacle may have been managed by a true leader/s or would this state of affairs even have been allowed to happen?
