Maybe you should shift yourself to Portugal then, for the curry. Every other is that. You can slate the UK til the cows come home, do the down and dirty in the Cascais/Lisboa region and speak to the locals.... not a lot of difference to how the majority in the UK think/what they are experiencing - nor Spain thinking, when it comes down to the nitty gritty.
STP, The point is? You are a hypocrite of the highest order. Fact. You live and work in Spain. You are sourcing cheap tat - in your admission. You come on here looking for an argument - when your own is far from valid, on any given subject matter. You have mentioned PB's and ISA's and tax related matters in your previous postings, that are irrelevant to you, under the Spanish regime. You referred to Richie as being angry...far from it, he speaks openly and with honesty. Reads like a Yorkshireman to me. You need to sort your head out or find some like-minded in your chosen country of residence. Oh, but, you can't, hence why you play silly beggars on this forum. Enjoy your menu del dia.
TFE,
Perhaps he thought that by taking a few gap years - when he was posting as Rosewall - that he'd get away with it? Or, maybe they are twin jocks, him and Rosewall - same age, work for the same company, now past retirement age, hill-walking fundraisers, all reference to Mrs T using the same exacting words ...and so much more, but we'll leave it at that.
A snapshot of the intentions of 2066 adults does not a forecast make.
A reminder:
"YouGov's final eve-of-poll number is 49-51 in favour of Remain
Our last voting intention figures before polls open for the United Kingdom's EU referendum are REMAIN 51%, LEAVE 49%."
Brixton, you are the salt of the earth so this nonsense is not about PB fun. It's him and his garbage day in, day out. Hence why so many decent folk are no longer around/post infrequently... more to life, can't be bothered!
Is that you trying to defend yourself? Add crass to pretentious...muy simple.
Oh and solely fyi I have held PB's since day 1 as my grandfather gifted them in the year of inception.
Oh and odds compilation figured on my CV, not just banking and the construction industry, so you need to climb out of your crass, pretentious box...muy, muy simple.
As I said, you apply everything to your own circumstances. Maybe get out there and assist others in how to make the most of the ever changing rules and regulations for their benefit - is just one thought - specifically if they have dineros, are not benefit claimants over and above their state pension and have no other income and are reliant on their "pot" - however big that pot may happen to be. Winning £3kpa on PB's is defying the odds and very well done to Brixton if it happens for him over 12 months.
Panderman did not make it up. It would all depend on how an individual arranged their own finances - what is classed as income? For state pensioners who only have a state pension classed as their "only" income then 6% on £50k has no tax liability, as they can earn £5k in interest tax free... Rather than apply everything to your own situation and acting like a pretentious know it all...
Chid, far from acting as Samaritans the High Court Enforcement Office, do what it says on the tin - speaking from experience. Have you ever employed their services? If the landlord subscribes to the rule of law and the law finds in favour for the landlord then the "p-takers" can try what they want but they don't and won't win.
I believe it's called The Great Demographic Reversal, the authors of the book wrote about in 2020. To attribute a raise in base rates to those choosing to retire early is imv a failure to accept responsibility for the inaction of his own institution and that of others with the power to act...too little too late. Is he saying that all of these "experts" are incapable of reading the story, or what?
