Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
You can sense what you like. You do theoretical and I'll stick with real. You continue with your away with the fairies routine and I'll keep my feet firmly planted on terra firma.
If you want change in any field, area or sector then you get off your bum and you do something about it. So no, we are not on the same side because I did that thing and continue to do so, whenever and wherever, you did not or have not. If I'm wrong on the latter, then feel free to give examples of the REAL in your life.
starting another thread, as some clearly don't get the jist of threads. Life seemed much simpler back then - over 40 years ago. Information overload is how it feels these days. Phone the broker, make the purchase, receive your certificate, hold and then post the certificate back to sell when your goal was achieved. I can't recall having to write any losers off, before online and the aim became available. Maybe not having as much on time to play with as we were working, was for the better eh?
SUF, I know which one you are talking. I wanted to say "DON"T" but you wouldn't have taken notice/listened a,s we all have to make our own mistakes and learn from them. Small mistakes are easy to write off, the biggies ... well, you just got to dust yourself down and get on with it. I did a daft one (only a small punt) only the other week - rank-outsider - would have been better backing a horse.
Theosus, yep the Primary Bid game, been reading/watching following all that activity.
SUF, in swings and roundabout world, it might have been well done on those moves, however I made the biggest ******* -up ever being stupid on an aim play and lost a shed load - lessons for the learning and all that. If we are to visit the 2011 gap as some are predicting, I intend taking full advantage, will patience pay? Who knows in this crazy world?
SUF, I can recall your posting all of those years ago. We sold a property in 2011 and I put virtually all the proceeds in Barc and Lloy. Set myself a target for them both and patience paid. Never bought Barc since, but been in and out of Lloy over the years. Got to say, you have the patience of a saint on this one. ATB
lti/sc, our PB's have returned 2% over the past 12 months, beaten the average % and certainly more than a bank return, in the current climate. All winnings re-invested buying PB's for grandson. Easy access to your capital - 2 days for online withdrawals. Couldn't be simpler, maybe they should consider increasing the limits again.
It's the middle of the afternoon. Maybe you need to focus on the country that you chose to live in? 17 years of enjoying the lifestyle offering would not entice us to change our country of domicile, as we know where we are better off - clearly you do not. Far more problems with the Spanish economy than the UK and clearly C19 has served to highlight that fact over there.
There you go again, with your assertion "What is clear is the UK already going to regret leaving the EU. No debate on that point." Your point of view does not close a debate. As for believing in carnage, well ... that's clearly what you wish or hope for, because you believe that you are right. You stick with your negative stance as that's evidently what floats your boat ...
or in the case of wrong-turn - more like an arm missing - big permanent sulk on cos he's a "member" (how apt) of the losing side and still over 4 years later, is unable to let it drop. Clearly, he views the re-inventing of himself every weekend for the purpose of causing disruption on the forum as some sort of pay-back. We all have options and if you choose to be domiciled to Spain, then live with it, or change it, wrong-turn, as taking your anger out on others will not solve your own issues.
What is really strange is that you filtered me, did you not? In much the same way as you did (not) under one of your former guises.
It was a strange situation to be brought into, as the "we' in the queue wasn't referencing them - it was us. The Romanians had already been pulled away from the control desk and were being questioned, in the middle of the arrivals hall, which is when the mother came across to ask me to help her, as the control questioning was not working/wasn't bringing any answers, due to language barriers and non comprehension of the C19 locator rules and more. It's even stranger when you are watching border control staff just looking on, while you're babbling away in another language to give a brief explanation of the requirements for UK compliance. Our system falls short of Homeland in the US, as what I experienced at our border certainly would not have happened over there. The family would have been taken into side room and an interpreter brought in.
border control?? 122 days later, after what I've just witnessed there are more questions than answers, as to just what the heck is going on. Current protocol is you complete a '''public health passenger locator form" online with UK immigration before you board a flight to be allowed into the UK. You produce the same to border control, so just how did a family of 6 Romanians - non English speaking with very poor command of any other lingo - get on given that they had not complied? Well, the mother came to me to ask if I/we could help her/explain etc in her broken Spanish while we were in the border control queue. I'll help anybody but I've never felt so uncomfortable. I'm sat here thinking, were they legal/illegal, what happened to them after we left the airport? Does the system we have in place actually work? They were unable to comply with C19 tracking requirements. The mind boggles!
