and where are they? The interims, that they would have been singing from the roof-tops, if there was anything to sing about.
Wids good glorious afternoon to you too, got a new toy to play with - nearly took my foot off - power washing the pool terrace. Self sufficiency? Our salad stuff is just delicious. As for banks, well, I've just made myself clear on that front this morning, they sort it or the head honcho at Barclays is my next port of call. See what he has to say about the antics of his staff, that are based goodness knows where. The Orwellian aspect of this space was in action this morning.
Does anybody participate in BioBank? I have participated in their tests/exercises etc for about 13-14 years and have just received a request to participate in Covid19 testing for antibodies. As much as I would like to, I can't as the requirement is that I am at my UK address for the testing kits to be sent to me and for the return of my blood samples. I'm putting this on here so that if any of you are interested in participating in Covid19 antibody testing, then perhaps you could/would consider signing up to BioBank? Just a shared thought.

No math application, simply off the top of my head.
and all the very many genuine and good folk on this and all LSE boards - thank goodness we outweigh the other types - we all stick to the real and true, know who we are and where we came from and where we are going to ... they quite simply do not. They have an awful lot in common - that they clearly fail to realise - for obvious reasons. Identity issues being numero uno.
We also have much in common - good memories, some of us even have elephant memories.
Have a nice day.
Troj, i'm laughing - gold. That stuff I was told I should be buying and holding for rainy days - when I was only a teenager - I listened and learned, cos listening and learning often pays dividends ... unlike investing for dividend income. Wids like "junk" too, so do I. Do you do over the pond stuff? My funds are more Nasdaq. That link that you just put on - I read that RNS out loud early doors.
Troj, going back to the 70's, whatever was deemed to be a good salary back then, wasn't as far as we were concerned. So it was on yer bike, and off he went - holland, germany, belgium, UAE and then the refineries. Different strokes for different folk.
Think we all know the worlds gone mad re anything to do with negative rates. What is the actual benefit, is there one?
Troj, our first mortgage was for 12.5k and I knew the manager of the Leeds BS, when I had to produce hubbys wage slips, she thought it was hilarious, the sum we were requesting versus earnings - not even x1, (0.6). Pembrokeshire, yes scenic, the move there was refinery related - him not me. Schooling was superior to Leeds as was the NHS back then. However, once school was a done job, so many of the young folk moved away - London & Cardiff & Bristol - as there was no work for them. I recently checked house prices down there and they are cheap compared to many areas, so are rental values, so I guess wages must be much lower.
Troj, we moved back to yorkshire from pembrokeshire in 89, got gazumped left, right and centre, waited 3 months for something to be built - seemed like the only solution - shortly followed by those interest rates, so maybe 1990. Borrowing multiple, never did more than x1 of 1 of us.
john, it'd be funny if our paths had crossed over the years. Born and bred, live in no mans land when we're home - ha - WF code but Leeds CT and 0113. BTL, yep, 20 years worth. Those young chaps I referred to earlier also have some BTL's- in their 30's too. 80 hours a week and lots of 4.30 am starts (to get down the M1/M42/M wherever, before the fun started) was the norm. No more gracias, leave it the younger ones - tomorrows winners. Guidance, support and advice (when asked) these days. atb
