Good points Treetop, though it is apt, I feel, to examine at which point our patience may become stupidity.
As if it hasn't already. Lol.
Seriously though, I am not impressed that Kurt and Göran have allowed the election to be used as an excuse for a further protracted delay in the application decision. In fact, I was amazed that they really quite readily accepted the possibility, instead of not accepting even the hint of another "invalid" delay.
The election should never have affected the timeline for the dealing of our application in any shape or form. Following the submission of all final comments at the beginning of the year, the matter could and should have been resolved many months before the election. In my opinion, but such is based on the premise that all relevant facts relative to criteria have long since been known. For years!
It isn't acceptable for anyone to wait indefinitely Treetop, and Kurt is responsible for having not resorted to a different approach for us this year. If we've heard nothing by early new year, will he do the same? Wait and wait, while apparently not engaging with the correct people who can get the ball rolling?
Another fundraise without the concession licence doesn't bear thinking about either.
Additionally, if there is more to the recent usage of £250k to help fund a new project in Kosovo, as in, Kurt has actually had assurances from the Swedish Government re Kallak, so that's why he deemed it suitable to use a large percentage of our remaining funds at this time, then he should have updated us. Let's face it, as far as news on our application goes, there has been little to none for the majority of the year, which then only leaves many of us wondering.
It has certainly left me to ponder just why Kurt would spend big, at what seems like a very inappropriate time, while without the Kal licence. Is there something we don't know yet?
I expected more from Kurt following the final submissions. For him to have nailed a date for the decision, even if it meant waving the threat of legal proceedings flag.
Some here will most likely disagree with what I've said, but we do each endure and/or embrace this investment according to our own individual circumstances, so I feel better for sharing my thoughts on our lack of reported progress.
Unless we are in for a pleasant surprise to end the year then, I'm looking forward to seeing a more company defining year for us next year, which I also believe is absolutely necessary. Including a no nonsense approach from Kurt, should the Swedes still not be showing willing over the acceptance of their responsibility in the handling of our application.
Cheers Treetop.
