Aye, we do. It's been totally devastating waiting for this decision Sooz. If you reckon on an application being dealt with start to finish in a year, following its submission, then we are six years behind schedule on Kallak, which is wholly unbelievable really. The MI could not find fault with our application some five years ago, yet here we are with nothing still from the Government. The question is, how can Kurt bypass this obvious political chicanery without continuing just to wait (which is slowly killing our investment off), and without taking legal steps to force the issue?

Perhaps it is time he employed a new set of advisors.

Evening Sooz. Well, I can't imagine he was satisfied with such an answer. Particularly as Baylan took an additional week to come up with it, then offered only the usual stock reply. I would trust that both Lars and Kurt will hopefully inform Baylan of the absence of any real clarity shown in providing such an answer. The lack of transparency in the permitting process continuing to be the order of the day, which of course, is wholly unacceptable. How can anyone plan a business or potential investment around a cloak of secrecy adopted by those who have all of the information?

Let's see if something occurs next week Sooz. I really am trusting that Baylan won't be let off lightly with his latest tactic.

It will be interesting to see whether Baylan replies to Kurt's latest letter. I'm not sure that he will, even out of courtesy. The letter, whilst excellent in many respects, especially in reminding Baylo of the facts, did not actually squeeze him for a likely date for a decision, or question what specifically the delay was now due to. Who or what is holding the decision up, etc. Direct questions along those lines would certainly warrant a reply.

I'm disappointed that more direct pressure wasn't applied, as, going off previous responses (or lack thereof) to Kurt's correspondence, it seems that Baylan can brush reminders and facts off his shoulders until the cows come home. No action required.

I would therefore suggest a follow up letter from Kurt might be useful, pointing to the generalised answer Baylan gave to the Ministerial Question as being wholly unacceptable, more of the same responsibility dodging. Considering time elapsed already in our case and the blight on our Conpany's sp because of government inertia.

Only my thoughts, and, of course, more direct pressure would not mean BEM alienating itself from those who want Kallak to be a success, those folk in Jokkmokk and the wider. Far from it. It will only hopefully shake up the government into finally doing what it is really tasked to do. Bringing the right, legally backed decision, so that businesses can evolve.

Lol. The compensation for our quadruple share dilution, lost opportunity and lack of income would be incalculable, but let's start with a Volvo each and £1 per share. If we begin to feel warm and tingly with that, for example, then the compensation is bordering on enough. A raging sweat and it would be too much. If we are left freezing cold, on the other hand, we know the compensation offered would be quite unacceptable. Possibly some flat-packed, unfathomable to construct, wooden nonsense. There's a wall, watch while I bang my head squarely upon it.

I agree re Kurt's letter. I feel he could now get back to Baylan, informing him that the ministerial response offered up was wholly inadequate.

Kurt can point out to him that we continue to be treated with utter contempt with that sort of Parliamentary reply, one which is an unfortunate norm and which further highlights the lack of any real transparency within the permitting process.

Rubbish for businesses like, dangling a piece of string of indeterminate length and for an undefined period of time. Lol.

Hi Sooz. Yes, not sure whether it will be on the agenda, due to the nature of the situation. The time taken to date and price sensitivity. Only my thoughts.

I'd like to think Kurt will act on Baylo's latest brush off, because if we continue to wait without exerting any further pressure, by way of a retort to his comments, then old Ibrahim could wheel out the same exact fob off three months down the line, as in fact he has just done yet again. We need more specific information now. We could also press to be told just who exactly is charged with dealing with our case, a name, then we have a reference point for progress, or lack thereof, for hounding purposes. Lol.

Lars Hjälmered har frågat mig när jag och regeringen avser att fatta be**** om eventuell gruvbrytning i Kallak och Laver.

Ärendena om de ansökta bearbetningskoncessionerna för områdena Kallak K nr 1 i Jokkmokks kommun och Laver K nr 1 i Älvsbyns kommun innehåller omfattande underlag med flera komplexa frågeställningar, till exempel avvägningar enligt miljöbalken mellan flera olika riksintressen. Detta påverkar självklart handläggningstiden.

Utgångspunkten för regeringens handläggning är dock alltid att den ska ske snabbt, effektivt och utan att rättssäkerheten eftersätts. Jag kan i dagsläget inte uttala mig närmare om när ärendena är tillräckligt beredda så att be**** kan fattas.

Morning all. Kurt can't have been surprised by Baylan's reply to the ministerial question. It's more of the same unspecific fudge, lacking the necessary clarity that we need. Time to press Baylan further then, pointing to his latest response as a continuation of what is wholly unacceptable for any business trying its utmost to invest in Sweden. Nobody has been able to state where our application falls short, because it mustn't, and we legally merit the grant of a concession licence. Let's have it then Baylan. If we upset a few people in gaining a concession then that is too bad, as obviously the decision can be backed to the hilt by the very application of the law.

Is it on the trolley? Can you point at it? Yes!

Alamal, lol. Crap status confirmed. Baylan is a total washout.

I was young when first invested. Now I'm kind of squidgy.

I feel we shareholders need an update on Kallak now, even if it's only to prove that in the last three months gone, Kurt hasn't stopped pursuing a decision.

Yes, but surely there's not much he can tell us right now. I feel it doubtful anything will occur with the Swedes and the concession unless Kurt forces the issue. Baylan is obviously quite happy to call our bluff. Meanwhile, waiting for the nod is slowly driving our Company into the ground.

No excuses are given by the Swedes, and really that's fair, as none would be valid now anyway, lol, as we enter our eighth year of licence torture.

The investment for long-termers is presently shot to pieces. Kurt hasn't yet managed to be successful in bringing the Kallak situation to a favourable conclusion. How long, if ever, will it take from here?

It is nearly three months since he decided not to take legal action. In the time since, has the Swedish Government done anything further with our applicaton? If not, why not? If there is no reason for why not, considering what Baylan already knows from our February meeting, is it time for Kurt to put the knife in?

Kurt is well paid, so he's doing quite fine regardless, but it's the investor here who continues to feel the brunt and shoulder the financial burden of this Swedish inertia.

Wholly uacceptable.
