Can we do a run round on what we’re seeing at Waga’s pls.
In Camden it is quieter but still 50% full on a week night and deliveroo (with its own entrance) is in constant use. Southbank always has a queue when I pass it (but might be dead mid-week?). I’ve not been to Marble Arch : brand new - hopefully smashes it with winter wonderland etc. I’m asking as I sense business is in a good place -and yet it’s often the surer I get about a SP the more likely I’ve got it entirely wrong -lol- having missed something so obvious. So are Wagas near you in use?

It will be helpful if Q3 trading update provides clarity (following restructures) on BU’s revenue streams and cross-revenues esp. for ingenuity. I hope there is a statement from Chair on Governance progress too. I think clarity now won’t create an immediate SP impact but will better allow it in future. Separately, I am concerned at cash-burn : +ve cashflow in ‘24 could easily go out by a year and who knows where rates for refinancing will be. I’m ave at 100p-ish here so painful hold at the mo.

Went to waga this eve. Not massively busy // or empty.

Just added a little. My sense is it will be a hard 2-yrs but that management have set up for a storm with interest rate cover; energy fixes; paying down some debt.

I’d be happy with +200 like last Dec : lol.

100p feels about right. Could go higher if there is ‘space’ on high street : but that would be a hockey stick change in SP -or- if there is a buyout (not sure who’d be doing the buy out tho…. US PE?). I’m 30% down so hoping that clears before Xmas

On this. I don’t see a steady rise back up to +100 let alone +200 (when I Dec I thought even this was good vsalue (how wrong was I)). Simply because there is no +ve momentum on strategy or team consequent to unclear presentations. So the way it rises if some sees unseen value and bids or stake-builds : who’s going to do this - in this environment - meaning we are stuck here or hereabout for foreseeable future.

Stupid on not doing more drip feeding &/or hedging with oil stocks : plan was to have some assets out of cash.

70% on these. Had hoped I’d be a little up. And had targeted exit Q3-23. I was so wrong. A good learning

Ideal if a sports company took out Myprotein and/or arrangement with gym operator : Iceland does not feel like a strategic fit

Wait and see. Of more import is -if- UKGov will offer support to O&G in Falklands. I cannot find a statement / action on this -&- would be delighted if Gov did declare their position. If it was positive don’t worry about 30p or OBM : again not in our control. Hoping the Exec are spending ££ on lobbying.

Exec had already hedged RTN energy costs.
Likely to still be of support but prolongs competition’s existence (brutal way of looking at it) that if passes creates 2-5yr opp for RTN.

Presume it begins with lobbying and then some UK investment / support decision. And how much would UK stay out of it to allow Falklands to lead? Surely now / next few months is best timing to press the button?

The point for me is,

They have put forward their predictions
They gave a disappointing update.
The Attendees asked, how is trading since update, that would enable them to judge to some extent if the predictions are reasonable so far.
MM gives no comfort by updating on current trading.
Result IMO predictions not to be trusted.

Not great results. Looks like a poor decision to insulate consumers from prices rises when there will have been some acceptance and an opportunity to test elasticity. Odd that inventory is up. Tiring of these recurring non-recurring costs. It’s all jam tomorrow. All this kit / automation (investment) needs to start making a return!

That I fail to ask myself often enough….
It’s not where SP was : but where it is now - &- would you buy it now (or sell) at this price and if so why?
I’m kinda holding because I don’t think I got it that incredibly wrong and it’s mispriced. The Thursday update should explain why.
