Boots and something with strong subscription like services : did THG get a vaping approval or something like that? Craft brewing / organic food for the opp to sell into other products.

HH well said at 18:06. My gripe, and I think it fair, is the very poor communications. Things are said to be happening (strategic review etc by Chair -or- +ve guidance for q4 results) but then never manifest. And the Chair, Board, Chief Exec don’t appear to recognise that this failure to communicate well is poor form -&- frankly fixable. Doing such would instill confidence.

Hereshopin : I have not sold out. I am down. Ave 110p. I am very disappointed in Exec and Chair for communication (not difficult) and some poor decision making throughout last year. Let’s hope Vivek lands something big. I do think THG Exec need to account for themselves and their performance against their communications

At giant squid : if your numbers a broadly right : you could take out RTN at current price a sell on in parts for about x5 current SP. Waiting for Q4 update and hopeful of a re-rate.

Q4 update was not as it was positioned to be in earlier ‘22 update. And w/o call to explain the bridge between the two. It has not been a good year for THG. Nor have THG been able to communicate how their work will lead to growth. SP reflects this. The Chair is conspicuously absent. On this BB we argue about shorters, hunt for snippets in the update, try to make sense of the numbers (often seeing what we’d rather see than what’s there : per initial BB reaction to update). We should not need to do this to the extent we do. The Chair should require better communication and discipline internally. The good Lord Allan has not done this. How does one hold him to account for this? Unless there is some rigour soon this will drift into nothingness.

We all been taken for fools. And use each snippet to build a wider story why it’s everyone else whom is the fool and not us. MM doesn’t appreciate how to interact with market or shareholders and Lord Allen hasn’t obviously helped. Sense there is some very poor operational management that led to yesterday RNS. I’m upset with myself most of all for over investing.

What is most challenging is we cannot accept Exec statements at their word. Last year they advised they were on track. We find on update this is not the case. No call after. Trust and visibility have value and this is in short supply. The Chair should be instilling this. Results poor - with a potential for improvement - but you just can’t trust what MM says and Chair is MIA. As you know I’m in 110p ave.

I’m not sure this is as positive as we make out (believe me I hope and want to be completely wrong). Nothing in the bag for ingenuity and feels like heavy discounting got the H2-22 numbers up. Pleased on cost reduction. But FCF is FCF and warrants some respect.

I am as per subject. This feels like a stonking stock. Massively undervalued. Yet I can’t see what’s going to x3 x4 it soon. Guess it’s a takeover etc?

Licker : if THG can demonstrate + cashflow -or- neutral, then I think it’s a massive re-rate - but perhaps we are a bit early for that.

I think housing stocks will suffer as sales stall : I’m referring to big housebuilders who are already reviewing staffing. This doesn’t bode well as construction creates big spillover spend and movement of £££. But let’s see people have been calling time on the housing market since early 90’s.

I don’t see who buys out (w/o leverage) other than QIA. I don’t see need for it (though would welcome it). Prefer for a partial spin-out of nutrition and beauty with growth through this and lock-in to using ingenuity (so it is cash +ve too) I think that rebounds the SP over 300p -&- probably causes a market reappraisal and rerate from there on up.

Spades Q4 will be interesting : I think Waga may have had a little hit from train / tube strikes etc but pubs will have done well; airports knock out. Market might get spooked on Waga -but- I think all the energy and interest rate hedging will be providing huge support. There is all a high chance I’ve got it wrong on Waga and it did do well for in London I never saw an empty one and from last investor call they trade better outside of London. Hoping so rent renegotiations help too.

I think it’d be poor form to not issue Q4 trading update. So sense we’ll get one : but no idea when >> maybe it’ll just drop in.

No obvious public event / news / change in overall mkt sentiment for rise. And rise too small for a corporate action (my view). So expect SP to dangle around until Q4 update, possibly beyond. I don’t know what gives this +100% uplift in a day -yet- remember think Dec 21 I was on a winning adding at 230p. For THG -as it happens- not much changed since. So I’m at a loss as to why it’s still in 50’s. And almost in reverse why it ‘hung out’ at 600p for a while and at around 300 for a bit too. No rhyme nor rhythm.

Any idea when we might get a Q4 trading update? If at all?
