And this is potentially a disruptive move for the industry that may leave some large incumbents struggling to get on the new agenda. I think it is much more opportunity than threat for a small insurgent like Scancell, especially with Redmile as a key backer

After Trump’s win, he is clearly looking to make some big changes and actually do things and, by appointing Kennedy as Health Secretary, he is signalling that vaccine safety is going to get more attention.

What could be safer than a vaccine that stimulates the body’s own T-Cell defences and targets the immune system specifically on cancer cells?

The cash runway was genuinely not regarded as a matter of concern at the AGM. The company has plenty of options - it is about picking the right one.

I notice that several people here are assuming that the Company has daily oversight of when people are being scanned and when they are due to be scanned. They don’t…….and that is why there is some limited uncertainty over the exact point when they will be ready to announce. The management of patients and timings is decentralised and in the hands of the clinicians.

I’d guess the RNS will be out sometime between 3rd Dec and 7th Jan.

That is correct DeAar. 27 responders are needed to meet the objective, which is a material improvement in the standard of care. More than that is better, however. But the choice vs iSCIB1+ (probably) won’t be made until well into H1 - so, despite the obsessions of some, it really doesn’t matter much exactly when the news comes…..just as long as they maximise its impact for investors.

No they aren’t “totally contrary”. The company was totally 100% clear at the AGM about the likely timing - and it is certain (if the announcement is to be positive) that it will also indicate at least 27 responders.

The only difference is that miavoce seems to think that the RNS will occur “as soon as 27 is hit”…..which is a belief that is his…..and which is completely unsubstantiated by anything the company has actually said. Of course, there is a possibility that that is the position as at the end of Q4 - in which case our expectations will be entirely aligned and not at all “contrary”.

CP, No idea what you are talking about. They were 100% clear that they expect to announce re SCIB1 this quarter but there is some possibility that it drifts just into January. Thats all.

Precisely what they announce, we’ll have to wait and see. Previous spider plots show scans at 13 and even 6 weeks.

Check the later comments about potential partners needing “the full data set and possibly beyond”…..and the admission that an announcement may just drift into January.

They can say anything at any time but, bearing in mind the need for the full data and their strong intention to promote it hard at that point, why would they dilute the impact by putting out partial data a few weeks before they get the complete set?
