No Bob. Check how many institutions there are out there interested in growth stocks, healthcare, undervalued assets, special (M&A) situations …..or just in making money. Any meaningful holdings will take time to build….and there will be many who want to be holding when news arrives. We are nowhere near getting on the radar of most buyers……but as they continue to screen possible holdings, that will change over the next 2-3 months.

Meanwhile, I must nip round the corner and try to find inanaco’s Thai mansion…..

….how long will it be before people work out that the marketmaking game is being played entirely on the offered side of the market? People still seem happy to offer blocks of stock and have them picked off…..lets see what happens when they try to get them back 😏

Only the traders will be selling. As others have noted elsewhere - it is all about the number you hold….and it will be rather difficult to get material amounts as time passes.

In fact there have been quite a few good rises amongst smaller companies over the last three weeks - perhaps the cheapness of the UK has hit home?

Nobody needs to do serious business on a Friday, so there won’t be any volume. Waiting with interest to see if the buyers end up being too cute for their own good - serious size won’t start to become available until the share price is 20% or so higher, I think.

Thanks for that re the IND process, chester. That confirms why we’ve had nothing about IND submission, because that isn't a relevant datapoint…..what matters is coming out the other end with an approval.

It also leaves some ability to flex proposals in the event that eg partner discussions firm up or change.

I read that part as pretty encouraging. The earlier party from 2024 had been dragging its feet on funding commitments - and now it seems likely that its stake will be cut back if it ever gets to the finish line. Multiple new parties is also regionally-encouraging.

Shaking out those who will take a 10-20% quick profit is the name of the game. Maybe some will convince themselves that TA is important……in which case they will most likely be shaken out cheaply. Hey ho…..

I’ve only held since mid-2020 but have yet to see anywhere near the levels that would induce me to top-slice. The only time I’ve done that in any stock (rather than selling outright) was after a 60-fold gain over 12 years. I may do something similar here in about 2032…..

Different story, no doubt, for the few who have held for a decade longer.

Indeed Crusty……exactly my rationale (well that and the fact that there is a massive gap between the “risible minus 30%” market price and the price that any likely deal will imply).

A number of smallcap shares on my watchlist or in my portfolio have risen 15-20% since Christmas (eg SCLP, CHRT, PRV). The NAV of this investment trust is up at least 3% over the same time, but the discount has widened.

This is surprising given the fast-improving market background in the sector - I’d think the discount should be nearer 8-10% at present and the share price around 400p.

IMO the share price should indeed be double the present level, based on what is already known. And I’d be unsurprised if it is 3-4x current price by mid-year. Possibly even higher.

Interesting that the 250k trade printed seven minutes after my earlier 14.27 guess about a large trade being worked at 12p. I ‘m tempted to say “Hi there 👋” 😉

Won’t be long before the price starts leading broker estimates, IMO. The latter are in the low 30s, by the way…..

Eli Lilly and Nvidia have just announced a partnership with investment of $1bn, targeting new drug development, to be based in San Fran. Eli Lilly CEO to be interviewed on Bloomberg TV within the hour.

I’d guess there is a big buy order being worked at 12p, which is why all the action is taking place just below that level. Not sure how much can be grabbed at that level - if serious size is wanted, they may need to pay 15p to get sellers’ attention. And then who knows?
