been a buy. Certianly the prices for the following trades today seem to bear that out. Surprising it did not move the bid/ask price though I must say. Maybe they were bought by someone with the surname Novak, popular one over there as I understand. Maybe he/she works in the Enviromment Agency and have been saving their pennies to make a safe bet? Who knows? Betting £58,000 is a lot for just about anyone. Still Ascent are making a modest profit and maybe about to have a jv or even receive a bid so the person is not taking as much risk as one might have thought.

Someone thinking that a permit of some desciption should be landing on the mat soon which would move the sp up quite substancially from it's current level. A Slovenian person maybe?? Someone who works for the government, or knows someone in the Government maybe.
I too think we will get the permits in due course. It's more a matter of when, not if.

date set for "battening down the hatches" while we wait and wait. I believe some of the people we employ were taken on in anticipation of progress after receiving permits. Frankly that is money down the drain as things stand. They should set a date then if things have not moved by then reduce the head count in Slovenia to bare minimum. Then we can advise when chasing the permits that some Slovenian jobs have been lost due to the amount of time the permits have taken. Hopefully the papers over there will pick it up too. Obviously no well permits = jobs will have to go. That is obvious.

Apparently the Slovenian Government give 3 to 4 weeks for Oil/Gas Co's to respond to queries. We replied to the queries about the IPPC license and the two well licenses on Friday 6th July. So last Friday was 3 weeks. We are now in 4th week. To be fair presumably the Government will either issue the permits very soon or respond with any further queries they may have.

"Ascent are very pleased to have finally received the IPPC license. The license is permission to build a gas processing plant on our land in Slovenia close to the gas field which in turn would enable Ascent to sell gas direct to the Slovenian gas grid increasing revenues by about 30%. Regarding the strategic review the IPPC license is obviously a very important development (which was expected in due course) for the companies that have visited the data room and are deliberating whether to propose business deals with Ascent.
Regarding the well permits Ascent are hopeful these will be granted in due course."
