think. In my view the 20 ish from the start and now the "handful" are significant as me and i suspect a lot of others thought thise numbers were a lot less. WE will see anyway. I expect the sp to move North 1st thing. We will se on that as well!! All IMHO.
No RNS. They have simply put some numbers on what they have already said so I think they have checked this out with the powers that be first. Also the shareholders all know and tomottow morning the recording will be on the Ascent site. No RNS. However the sp may well be going North. All IMHO.
The 20 ish Co's from the start. Whittled down to a handful of serious players. Slovenian Government positive comments about the permits previously. The market has got to price in a deal of some sort now we know the numbers still interested. A "handful" of Companies. 4,5 or 6 then I should think. Then there is competition, presumably between them. Possibility now of a bidding war, or at the least a jv with very little cash, if any for Ascent to put up. If it's a jv I would be pushing for the new partner pays for at least the stimulation of the two existing wells and the same for the next two wells. Play 1 co against the other and see what can be achieved here. It all depands on how good their experts view the gas field now they have seen all the data. It's got to be pretty good or no-one would be still talking to Ascent. In fact it's got to be good because 4,5 or 6 Co's are still talking to Ascent!!!!! All IMHO.
Kellsbells:- There are dozens of large old international oil and gas fields that have huge unexploited reserves that are available for next to nothing I.e a few million..that’s what so many people who are don’t seem to understand. Tell me how much did ast pay for this asset ? ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hello. This assett has a pipeline to INA in Croatia capable of taking I think it is 28 MMscfd. A lot of the needed infrastructure is already there built and connected. Basically a lot of the pipework and plant are already there connected. The gas is there as we know. So a large part of the needed infrastructure i.e plant, pipelines, holding tanks are already there. The next 2 wells need to be stimulated, and assuming that works (should do as new sands at lower levels) the gas can be sent through the existing in place system to INA in Croatia. If you were starting from scratch you would have to buy and build all the infrastructure/employ new people etc.... All IMHO.
- I missed the 1st half!! 1. There were..... was it 20 Co's originally signed up to view the data room. - That in itself is news to me. I was assuming half a dozen only from start. 2. They are still talking to a handful of Co's regarding potential deals from the strategic review. - The review RNS was on 17th April. In 3 days that is FOUR MONTHS AGO. - No way on Earth are these Co's still talking to Ascent if there is nothing REALLY interesting in the data. - Conclusion - they see a hefty profit to be had in developing the field. So Ascent think the gas/oil field has big potential and now we have another "hadnful" of serious players who OBVIOUSLY think the same. Most may get their money back here AND MORE my gut feeling is. Thank the Lord the data room data has demonstrated the gas/oil field is potentially a big winner. All IMHO.
board can't put forward a proposal to share holders as a result of the strategic review in reasonably short order. - I think that's what he just said. So Clive is VERY confident some sort of deal will be done as a result of the strategic review. Tomorrow will be interesting!!! All IMHO.
hand full of serious players still interested it seems. A lot better than I expected to be honest. That data must be indicating some very interesting possibilities. All IMHO.
permits. The data in the data room the 2+ Co's that are still talking to Colin have seen is obviously a tad important. I ask myself why, after 4 months of the data room being available for anyone who will sign a non disclosure document are more than two Companies still talking to Ascent? Are they lonely and so in need of company or something? I just don't understand it. I mean what is the point? Beats me. All IMHO.
I wonder if one of the Co's Colin11 Aug 2018 19:18
is still talking to (after 4 months) have made an offer following the Slovenian Governments assurances regarding the permits. Maybe they will tie any offer to getting the well permits to re-stimulate the existing wells. In that scenario they take no risk as if for some reason the permits don't arrive they could walk away. This Slovenian permitting FARCE must be totally embarrassing for the Slovenian Government. It really is a complete and utter disgrace. I mean how can the IPPC one (that was previously awarded after all the paperwork was done back then) still take another month or so??? I mean what on earth goes on in thei Governmant agency called "ARSO"?? The time frames beggar belief. They must be having a competition with italy who I understand are similar. Both EU of course. Thank the Lord we are cutting ourselves loose from the likes of Italy, Greece, and all those ex communist countries that joined the EU that no doubt are similar to Slovenia in their efficiency. Oh, let's not forget about the corruption in the EU countries. In some it is rife. I mean bribing a police man to let you off a speeding ticket is quite normal behaviour in some of these ex communist countries I hear. Completely normal. It will be interesting to see how the EU get on once we are gone. You have the German work force who work long hours and work extremely hard. Then you have the other countries like Spain and Portugal who, due to the heat are used to a more relaxed time at work. It';s not hard to see that these completely different cultures who both use the same currency are heading for disaster. Sooner or later other Countries will leave the EU and then there will be massive probleams. All IMHO
Hello, I keep reading on this bb about lack of communication from Ascent. We have RNS's, video inerviews and emails from Colin on occasion. If you think there is lack of communication you need your head examined. I don't know of any Plc that communicates more.
Will ARSO assurance prompt a bid?10 Aug 2018 13:45
Depends on the data I think. If the data is interesting enough then one or more of the players Ascent are still talking to might be preparing a bid as I type this. I think 1.75p per share opener, then 2 to 2.5p for the kill. All IMHO.
The data room data plus the permits10 Aug 2018 11:17
are the two keys here. We have 2+ Co's still interested 4 months since the data room could be viewed. And we have positive signals from the Slovenian Government regardng processing the permits. Also maybe other Co's that lost patience with the permit situation may make contact again. I reckon a jv is very likely and if we are lucky a bid at 2p. Colin and the board must be having a very interesting time. All IMHO>
