All we need are the IPPC permit and the two permits to re-work the two existing wells. The Governmant agency "ARSO" no doubt is very, very aware Slovenian jobs are on the line and the impresion other gas/oil Co's are getting of Slovenia as a place to invest is don't bother as they are either incompetent, corrupt or both.
The agency "ARSO" need to sort the permits out NOW before the papers in Slovenia and around the EU are showing them to be the kiss of death to business in Slovenia.

talking to Ascent about a possible deal of some sort must be really un-cleaver people if the gas field is such a pile of rubbish. These Companies must not know what they are talking about if they have taken all this time to conclude they still want to discuss. A bit odd really having seen the data and NOT just walking away. Why have they not walked away?? Are they a bit daft or something?? Weird.

So discussions are ongoing. If our gas field is rubbish then why after all this time are other Companies (plural) still talking to us. Why have they not said not interested and good bye???? Weird or what......

This would not be the buy price of course. But how much more would get Ascent?
I was thinking 2.5p to 3p, but this last RNS changes that.
A Co. could put a 1p per share bid in and be sure to get Ascent @ 1.5p pr share or less as things strand I think.

I thjink we need an article in a major Slovenian newspaper. Ascent now can just starte the facts.
1. Permits are so late it beggs the question quite what is going on at "ARSO".
2. Missing permits has now stopped all investment in the gas field.
3. Missing permits have resulted in Slovenaian job losses instead of job creation.

thing. They have cut costs to minimum directly because the "ARSO" Government department has not processed the permits in a reasonable amount of time. Now Slovenian jobs have gone/been changed to part time etc.. This is fact. Now the Slovenian politicians can see that the warnigs they got about the delays were true. Now no doubt there will be articles in the papers/internet over there pointing out the Governments "ARSO" dept HAS cost Slovbenian jobs and HAS so far PREVENTED investment in the gas field. Investment that would have created SLOVENIAN jobs. The sooner this news hits the news out there the better. Also I hope they pick up on the fact that the politicians over there have been indicating to Ascent things would happen but it seems the politicians have been lying to Ascent. Hope they get the names of these politicians for the news articles.

Bid got to come is surely. A large gas/oil co could buy on pure speculation without looking at the data. Less than peanuts to Co's like that.
Market capjust £8.5 million now. Co's pay that for a "wild cat" oil well drill for heavens sake, when there is small % chance of success. Bonkers.

It's time to be patient while the incredibly slow Slovenian permit system crawls toward issuing the permits. At least we got to the stage where we answered their queries exactly one month ago. Clearly the paperwork is slowly moving it's way through their system. I would have thought the well permits would be dealt with by different people to the IPPC permit so it's likely one or the other will emerge from their system soon.

need new permits. Let's not forget the current management got around the IPPC permit delays by buying land that the pipe to Croatia went through and did the deal with INA so we could at least sell so called raw gas to them. It was cleaverly planned and executed. If not for that we would still be stuck having sold no gas whatsoever. Company would probably have gone under by now.
Tomorrow marks a month since Geoenergo (one of our partners) delivered the partners replys to the Governmant queries. Presumably Geoenergo will be chasing this up now, as the Government usually gives 3 or 4 weeks for a Company to reply to their questions so one would use that argument to chase the permits up from them.
I believe we will get the permits. There is no reason why we should not get them. I think we will get the IPPC one first which actually will make Ascent more valuable (like having planning permission for an extension would make your house more valuable even if it has not been built). The gas processing plant the IPPC permit gives permission to build I'm sure won't be built for at least two years if at all. This is because our gas goes to INA in Croatia now for processing and it's likely they will be involved in any jv or takeover so the gas may continue to go that route even when the gas field is producing 25 mmscfd or so.
I think the 2 permits to re-work the existing wells will follow a few weeks later. Anynone's guess of course.
After the permits will come either a jv, a bid, or nothing.
I think a JV with INA is highly likely.
After this I think the sp could be around the 3p mark as there will ne renewed interest in Ascent delivering the gas fields full potential..

but I find it raher odd the results are put across as not good because if the litigation costs but if you take them away all seems good. I mean are these on going massive litigation costs due to it's own he litigation costs not real money or something. It's like saying we turned over £10 million and lost £2 million, but that £2 million was by the people downstairs so, take that out all is well and we broke even. Oh...... won't be any next year..... really??
