So ENCOURAGED BY RECENT COMMUNICATIONS. Seems they are happier with the feedback from the well applications than the IPPC, which is more complicated. If ARSO are struggling with the IPPC permit paperwork then they should know Ascent would be extremely happy to get the other permits through. After all the IPPC one in reality is not needed for at least 18 months.

in the data room are still talking to Ascent. One presumes they have concluded from the data the gas field is commercially viable, or they would have walked away. Now the Slovenian Government has assured Ascent the permit applications willl be processed in a timely fashion. Thus there are nore than one Co. competing for a deal, even if that is just a jv.

I have never held a share where there is so much communication with the share holders.
We have RNS's, we have video interviews, we have some email correspondance.
Talk of lack of communication is complete and utter rubbish.
Regarding Colin as far as I am concerned he is doing a great job.
The problems with well 11a were not his fault. |Just Company bad luck.
It's east to forget without Colin we may not have sold any gas to date!!!
He was in charge when the deal with INA was done and the land was bought enabling gas sales to INA.
Now there is a good possibility the whole gas field will be developed and he is largely responsible for that too.
There are shorters on this bb who just want to cause mayhem. "Sack the CEO", send rude emails to the Slovenian Government etc.... Don't listen to those nasty people who would sell their own Grandmother for a few quid.

Yes. The sp rise IMHO is a combination of the permits becoming far more likely to land AND the fact that Colin mentioned Ascent are STILL talking to potential JV partners.
So the permit problem seems to be dealt with opening the door to a jv deal, or dare I say it a bid.
I wish I could see the seizemic in the data room........... and understand what it all meant!
Seems more than one Company likes what it sees.

I won't be losing any sleep about it though strangely enough.

I am astonished the sp has ended on a day high, some 146% up on yesterday.
This tells me there is a tad more to this than the assurances from "ARSO".
Quite what I can only guess.
I suppose the fact Colin has said Ascent are still talking to Co's regarding the strategic review can only mean we have serious potential players left, and now the permits are seemingly very likely to land those players must be more interested than they were. While the permit situation was seemingly going on forever I assume any potential jv partners or bidders would have been waiting, if they had the patience to wait. Colin had already said some had run out of patience I think in the previous RNS. So maybe those who lost interest will return, and those who waited may offer a deal soon.
All we can do is speculate.
