Emerald carrots good post. This has bounced back and forth between AST and government like a game of ping pong. Now what a lot of people forget is that they actually issued AST this permit before, so there is no reason we will not get it now. I don't think the wait will be too long either. Is Colin holding off the interested parties as he knows the ippc is about to land and he wants a cracking deal for us? Possibly. Exciting times for holders here.

Hello. The IPPC permit must come before any jv or bid if you ask me. The permit gives permission to build a CO2, water and condensate separation plant allowing the gas to be piped directly into the Slovenian grid. As we know at the moment our gas (still high in CO2) is sold to INA at the broder with Croatia and INA then they remove the high Co2 before selling it to the grid in Croatia. The price we get for the gas is some 30% or so below what we would get for "clean" gas. Thus the IPPC permit quite litrally will make the gas field worth more than it is now.
Colin will wait for the IPPC permit as this will have a bearing on negotiations.
I think the most likely scenario is we get the permit, then a jv will be announced with, I think INA. They will pay x millions for the re-working of the next two wells, maybe Ascent will pay, what... 1m of the total cost, and in return they will get x percent of sales if the wells perform (50%???). If this deal is just for the next 2 wells then dependant on results they can do a new deal for the future development of the rest of the field.
Of course a bid would be good and around 2.5p a share seems a popular guess!!!
All IMHO.
