I thought Cyprus would be on the Green list but it's not.

It may be a big bill for even India to pay but they took the money originally and trying to defy an International Arbitration ruling is no doubt making any investors in India think twice. I believe International Arbitration is the ultimate court any investor would be relying on for peace of mind. Then India just don't pay up !!!! They really need to take different legal advice I think. Huge damage done already to their International reputation.

overturning an International Arbitration award are close to nil.
So one wonders what is going on.
They could withdraw from the agreement but India's credit rating would go down the pan, not least because hundreds and possibly thousands of investment loans were no doubt underpinned by the agreement. No agreement then would the investors want their money back, like straight away?
The other thought is the present Government need to show they tried their best to avoid paying this huge bill (caused by the opposition when they were in power) but failed. Then they can blame the oposition party who caused it, and can assure they did all they could to avoid this huge bill. I think this is where we are.......................

Very good point. The new president is apparently a hard liner so unless he changes stance and loses that reputation it seems very likely all the sanctions will remain thus keeping nealy all Irans oil out of the market.

If I were the Indian Government I would be wondering if my legal side really think there is any chance of avoiding paying Cairn, Vodaphone and the other Companies in the World who have won International Arbitration cases against India. It seems to me the eventual bill is getting bigger and bigger and until they honour the rulings investment in India is going to be slashed damaging their economy. So far Indian International reputation is in tatters and they have massively added to the evantual bills. Crazy IMHO.

interesting to see what they have to say about the Falklands. With Brent over $60 since Feb and now over $70 one wonders whether HBR will be moving ahead with the Sea Lion oil field. If so other Falkland shares like Argos (ARG, 3p ask), Rockhopper and Borders and Southern shares may gain a lot. I follow ARG and I know that they have hit 11p ish previously when Falkland oil was in play. Could be a "nice little earner".

The Indian variant is clearly struggling to spread via people fully vaccinated so a ship full of fully vaccinated people seems quite a safe place to holiday IMHO.
