I don't think the major shareholders of Cairn will let them accept any deal.
This would set a precedent with all the other International Arbitration decisions.
If they think they are going to get a deal they are very, very wrong IMHO.

Broker downgrade I see. All I know is if India don't honour the International Arbitration decisions they will struggle to borrow in the markets and foreign investors will think twice before investing there. Frankly they must be mad.

Brent is $74.63 and HBR are up 4% so that is all good!!

Just had a look. Volume until and includuingi last Wednesday was 20m ish per day or more, and many previous days. Thurs, Fri, Mon and today volume right down to 2m or less. So volume has dropped by 10 fold??
Maybe some sort of share sell overhang has been gobbled up?

over $76 says it all to me. It's widely known Saudi want the oil price $70 to $80 and after they opened the valves knocking Brent to what $25 a barrel when they disagreed with othe OPEC members and Russia I doubt if the other OPEC members and Russia want to go there again. Seems to me Brent is likely to remain North of $65 for the forseaable. I see OPEC and Russia co-operating with Saudi.
