I genuinely fear the worst. I really hope it's extremely mild though. Then we can buy in at these levels. Buying in before we know is simply crazy if you ask me. The whole market could drop 8 to 12% in just a few hours. Seen it all before, unfortunately. That's when you go to sell and can't get a quote...................

I would say a Massive, massive unnecessary, foolish thing to do if you take any notice of what is staring us in the face! Do you really think you won't be able to buy just about any share for a lot less than now in say 2 weeks? I'd say by the end of next week you probably will.

I find the markets total and utter under estimation of Omicron totall amazing. Even if a tiny, tiny fraction of the millions of cases end up in hospital there will be massive problems. Then you have millions not in hospital but guess what, off work. If my pension Co is throwing it's money in here I would be very very angry!

the NHS and cause us and Countries all around the World to lock down again is IMHO the height of stupidity. I saw the USA markets go up last night. Well, they voted Trump in so nuff said.... I have a feeling once Omicron spreads like wild fire through Americal, which is certain, the USA market will nose dive.

I sold mine the other week at about £1.27 due to seeing Omicron hurtling towards us, still can't quite understand the market seemed to ignore but is slipping backwards daily it seems. FTSE currently down 0.4%. Once the Govenment web site updates the cases figures later, which are likely to be dire I expect it to fall further. Anyone noticed the people in hospital with covid is now increasing??? As the Government has been trying desperately to tell everyone (and failing it seems) if only a fraction of the Omicron cases need hospitalisation we aill be in big trouble. I hear and understand. Do you? The Government has warned us, the top medical people have warned us so if you don't listen then it's your fault!!

So the 2 jabs gives 70%, leaving the 30%. So 30% of what number is what we don't know. If the number is very big and millions have still not got the booster then we in the uk will be in trouble. I see why the Government is in such a rush. Seems to me the NHS will get say 2 or 3 weeks of big increase in hospitalisations as Omicron is here (already (20% of cases in England are now Omicron). After the big increase assuming the booster roll out is as quick as they want presumably the case load in hospitals will go down.
That is my take on it at the moment.
Ayone who can have a jab and who has not need their heads examined. If they get hospitalised maybe they should be sent the bill, assuming they don't die?

Until the impact of Omicron becomes clear I think most investors are going to keep their money in cash in the bank. Seems pretty obvious. Maybe all will be ok, maybe there will be another lockdown in a few weeks, we just don't know. Why buy wjen there is a possibility of another market meltdown of what... 10% or so accross the board?
