The sp here has got to move up IMHO.
BP. and Shell heavily invested in Russia so some of that oil money must be being pulled out due to the very real Ukraine/Russia war threat. Some of that money likely to end up here IMHO. I sold my BP and put it in Tullow (TLW), up 8.6% today and here, which has not moved much thus far. Coud lurch North at any moment.

What if the gas to Europe was cut off? What if Russia only sold oil to friendly countries? What if all Western oil/gas Co's were taken over in Russia? Remember Putin runs Russia. He is 69. Can't expect to live for more than what.... another 15 years or so, if he is lucky.
Seems obvious to me the massive problems that could be coming.

Tullow of course, up 8.6% today and no interests in Russia or Ukraine that look like they will be at war any moment. I would take on board my comment about Putin's age. He's the sort of man that will want to go down in history. Mark my words.

Remember Putin is 70. A man who may want to go down in history with some, what I presume he would think, positive contribution to restoring Russia to what it was.
If Russia invade there will be massive financial implications for any Company invested in Russia and of course Ukraine. Russia could take over BP, Shell etc. assets to try to hold the wWest to ransom with oil and of course gas supply.
No way would I invest in BP. or Shell at the moment. Mad to do so IMHO.

Slightly up earlier, slightly down now.
There were pleny of customers in the large M&S not far from where I live Saturday afternoon with queues at the tills. Best guess was the lack of a dividend announcement was why the sp dropped, what... 14% or so last Thursday and Friday.
M&S has a lot going for it now and the likes of Top Shop and Debenhams having gone says to be the future is bright.
I'm holding as i think the sp will start to edge up over the coming weeks.
