RE: Sound of silence29 Mar 2018 20:38
Hi Rebess,
Wasn't going to post but agree that without Tibbs it is very quiet so thought I should make the effort. We definitely miss him and I hope he will come back rather than let the loud mouths, who he understandably took exception, to win the day.
I was likewise really surprised by todays's increase particularly given gold's fall. I dumped 25,000 at just after 2pm at 152.7 on the basis that I would butythem back if CEY then fell but benefit overall from the rest of my significant holding if we climbed. I like the fact Goldman has called us at over 200p but more because it will inject confidence than because I have any confidence in Goldman's ability to call this.
I am confident, hopefully not wrongly, that Q1 prod figures on 09 Apr will be ahead of consensus, largely part to Sparkle and Fizz's excellent efforts in taking up Siko's mantle, and will see an upward spike in the share price. I am however nervous about the gold price although hoping that the recent weakness is related to the end of Q1 options et al rather than anything else.
Best wishes to all,
Prof
