It seems planning authority meetings are about to restart. This is relevant as planning consent is required for the trial trenches. That comes as a surprise to me, as I was a geo technical engineer in the past and conducted many site investigations which did not ever require planning consent.

I can see your thinking about the negotiating position, however, I would argue that by getting Ashpalt ridge operation asap, then the company's cashflow immediately goes positive, which would improve the negotiating position with subsequent projects. It does concern me that in the recent video, the thinking was towards obtaining further investment past Q2 2021 to finance ongoing business development. I would rather see a conclusion of at least one commercial deal as I am sure that would attract institutional investment.

I believe QFI have funding until Q2 2021 (which is not that far distant) , and it seemed , from the video conference that they would at that time seek further funding to continue. Why take that risk ? Only one project coming to fruition would make the company profitable enabling business development indefinately.

The restrictions are the requirement for quarantine. So it is possible to travel from UK to USA if you stop off at a non restricted country for 14 days before entering the USA e.g. Iceland. Given the circumstances, would it not be a good investment of the technical team's time. I agree that it would be unwise to put inexperienced personel on the Utah project at this stage
