After the options are exercised, they're just ordinary shares. And yes, my understanding is that it's possible for any 2 parties to make any private deal they like, with ordinary shares anyway. I could sell my shares to you at 22p, if we both agreed. The market makers just facilitate trades, which is usually to the benefit of both sides, but not strictly required. I imagine it would be most relevent when it was a large quantity, relative to the usual volume.

A few thoughts Seingred:

- 600k reserves is a bit of a red-herring. There's 10m oz down there. Sure, not fully-drilled proved-up ozs, but JM isn't going to agree a deal attributing zero value to the rest.

- Politically dubious is extremely relative. The Chinese won't care. Nor will half of the rest of the world either. In fact, could be a bonus in some quarters.

- You said yourself SHG was sold cheaply.

- Producers share prices may not have shifted much, but they're coining it in due to the gold price increase, relative to when the sale process began.

Unlikely but possible.

An extension to the above thought - if the asking price dropped, more suiters would be interested.

Same with selling anything right - if you're trying to sell your house for a modest amount above the going market rate, you won't get too many interested parties, though you may just find one for whom it's the perfect "forever home". But if you pitch it at below market price, you'll have queues around the block.

I'm reluctant to put a number on it since we have been given zero guidance by the BoD. We do have NPV numbers, and significant exploration potential and the BoD's assurance that they will not sell the assets "at anything other than a fair price".

Given the above, I'd say that less than 60p a share would be hard to swallow. I also don't think £1 is impossible. Unlikely, but not impossible.

I find it interesting that sale price expectations have dropped, given both the increase in the price of gold since the purchase process started, and also that the length of the proceedings indicate that JM is not inclined to sell cheaply.

It's all relative of course, and we have so little to go on that the possible range still seems very broad. Even so, it seems a little illogical that price expectations should be lower now than at the start.

I'm sure that MC and the rest of the BoD made encouraging noises - it's their job to do so. But it was quite unlikely that the AGM would coincide with real news, and the lack of an RNS immediately before or after confirms it. No volume, and only extremely oblique comments from those who attended further reinforces that view.

Along with everyone else, I hope for positive news soon, but its probably time to move on from the AGM subject.

Genuine question though, while we're on the subject - what do Kefi owe Artar for exactly? Is it in addition to the dilution down to 25% (or whatever), or, if Kefi re-paid the sum, would we buy back some of the share in the JV?

Sigh. How tedious you've become SB. You were wrong when you bought in too early - it happens, nothing to be ashamed of, but there's no need to act like a jilted bride for the rest of your life either. The actual fact is Artar have not ripped Kefi off yet, nor is there any actual sign of them doing so. Here's another actual fact - good investers don't hang around like a bad smell on a share they no longer have any interest in. They move on.

So do you propose to do something, anything, about the situation you find yourself in, or are you just blowing off steam? Eiher is fine by the way, understandable even. But when I have a problem I try to do something about it. I wouldn't describe myself as a man of action, but I like to think I don't sit around on my backside all day moaning about my situation when, with a little emotional, mental or physical effort, I could do something about it instead.

If you're sufficiently aggrieved you could find a way to take it to the company. Once someone starts the ball rolling, others will follow. But few have all the ingredients required (spare time, energy, sufficient motivation, intelluctual capacity, etc) to start something like that.

And that's why selling if you don't like it is such a powerful and elegant solution - it requires expending no further time, effort or money, leaving you free to do something else. If you have a better suggestion, I'm sure we'd be interested in hearing it, but right now it seems to me your just the "old man shouting at clouds" meme.
