Call an EGM to achieve what?
Replace BOD members with who exactly?
Are there quality potential candidates out there with strong Russian relationships, a history of corporate deals, that are sufficiently qualified to take up a position and would want to join.
Once assets sold, then what?
You seriously think Russia have a genuine interest to go on invade Poland and alike.
Seriously?
Unfortunately people have the capacity to accept what some in the government put out there.
Wasn’t that long ago we went to war in Iraq, based on what the government at the time said………..shameful.
I realised this question was asked, but a regulatory reply was given.
I’m sure all genuine investors have asked this question to themselves.
Surely it can’t simply be a case of haggling over the price, it just seems to had gone on too long for that to be the sole reason.
BOB - Unclear why you say BOD played a blinder.
Surely investors are only interested in a sale.
Trading in Russia has far to many uncertainties for a UK listed company.
My only interest is a sale, BOD have constantly stated the focus is a sale and CS is seeking a retirement with a significant pay day.
As per usual, various scenarios being put forward, but pure guess work, trying to put the puzzle together.
One thing does it appear apparent, there is something going on.
I really fail to understand what the current Davos peace talks hope to achieve without the participation of Russia.
This is the third or fourth such talks without the participation of Russia, just seems a complete waste of time.
I think the entire world is aware of the Ukraine peace formula, but again seems pointless to me without Russia being party to any such formula.
What’s to pump?
Endless nonsense these posters keep saying.
Will a deal happen?
No one knows 100%, but investors invest based on research.
Based on what the BOD communicate then there are reasons to believe a deal will happen.
Have the BOD delivered yet? No
Has it taken far longer than shareholders anticipated? Yes
Has the conflict hindered the sale process? Pretty sure yes
I wonder these posters that keep telling us all it’s just a sham, I wonder would they refund any shareholders who happened to sell based on such posts. Of course they wouldn’t.
I find it intriguing why CS stated he was confident (not 100% on the exact wording) that a deal would be done but due to NDA could not elaborate.
Why would he be confident?
Is there an offer on the table that could be taken if no other parties make an improved offer?
Obviously I don’t know the answer, I just find it an intriguing comment to make, and one I would hope a responsible director would not make without information that substantiates it.
I know this point has been discussed briefly before, but the last corporate update included the following in respect of Nyud asset.
“With respect to the Nyud project, as the Rosgeo Agreement has expired no further announcements will be made regarding reserves and resources on such assets, which are no longer under the control of the Company. Despite a transferrable legal entitlement to the Nyud project remaining in place, no further work on this project is currently planned by the Company”
So no further worked planned, indicates that could change, obviously extremely unlikely.
Not under control of the Company but transferable legal entitlement remains in place.
To me reads Nyud remains off the balance sheet of EUA but there is a legal entitlement option in place.
This arrangement/structure I believe is in place to ensure sanctions aren’t incurred.
DB - I think it’s safe to assume that based on a number of comments and communications from the BOD is to sell and has been for some considerable time, certainly pre-war.
All price guesstimates are pure speculation due to the current environment.
The focus is to agree a deal, and unless party to any discussions I believe it is very difficult to say with any confidence what price will be agreed.
DB - Could be more than two parties, simply said parties in Russia and Hong Kong.
Also another point RNS stated “terms yet to be agreed” which could indicate offers have been received, but terms yet to be agreed.
What do you think Toffers, I’m sure you must of negotiated numourous multi million and billion deals?
If I recall correctly and I’m 99% certain I am correct.
Toffers first ever post was along the lines of informing the board she was a student and was either interested in making a small investment in EUA or she held a small investment in EUA.
The first post was shortly followed by other normal posts and then followed never ending negative posts.
Not sure how she can say she lost £200k, as that doesn’t correspond to her first ever post.
