I believe certain governments maybe applying pressure to Z to refrain from strikes on Russia energy.

Interesting if Russia will agree, but somehow I doubt they will.

You like many posters think are totally blinded by either Russia or Ukraine are totally right and can’t do anything wrong.

As for letting go I think it’s safe to say you post far more frequently than me, and generally posted idiotic comments about other posters, that serve no purpose.

Ukraine in over 4 years has only ever killed active military targets.

Truely amazing.

How about the 1,000s of Ukrainians killed, families decimated with love ones killed, living through freezing winters, life put on hold, cities and towns destroyed.

Have they achieved all that they set out to do, no I don’t believe so.

Has this war caused far harsher economic consequences than Russia imagined, yes I believe so.

I could go on, but epic failure I don’t believe so.

Z has stated on a number of occasions that Ukraine will not recover territory by military means, the cost would be the great.

The war is pretty much at a stalemate and I believe both sides want an agreement.

The biggest hurdle is the Donbas, with Ukraine willing to draw the line where both sides are currently at and Russia wanting all the Donbas. This is the hurdle to overcome and at some point agreement will be reached.

That then leaves the question of security and from my understanding Z has hinted at significant developments with the US regards security this week, in fact his words were “…….it is precisely these developments that pave the way for peace” or words very similar to these.

Not getting into a debate about this, but I read recently how much Poland has spent on defence, certainly seemed significantly more than other European countries.

That said, obviously a US guarantee is significant.

Troajan must spend so much time looking at YouTube videos.

Day in and day out repeatedly posting the exact same narrative. I have no idea what he hopes to achieve, but this constant anti Russian theme, is mind blowing. I really wonder if anyone bothers to actually view any of his links.

More importantly I would hope that within the next 2/3 months there will be positive moves towards a political settlement, but who knows. I never for one moment thought the war would continue for over four years.

Surely a stalemate is the exact circumstances for agreement to be reached.

If one side is gaining significant territory, why would they stop.

Both losing headcount, both not gaining significant ground, both suffering economically (though Ukraine have bank of Europe funding)

I personally fail to see how either side thinks continuing is beneficial.

Yet Toffers was ramping the living daylights out of the share about 3 weeks ago, even suggested Elon Musk could be interested in the company.

All these red flags she mentions now, but strangely never mentioned whilst holding.

Russia appears to be onboard with Trumps plan.

Trump has recently stated that Putin is ready to agree a deal. No need for posters to state “of course Putin is onboard” I’m not seeking to debate Trump’s plan.

My point is that if Ukraine, EU and US are meeting to specifically discuss Trump’s plan, then I would assume they are discussing ways in which it can work for Ukraine, and what needs to be altered.

At some point both sides will compromise and agree to peace, or alternatively terminate future talks and ramp up the war.

I get the feeling that time is approaching and the way the war has developed over the last two years, being pretty much a stalemate, then surely the most sensible action is to agree to peace.

I believe both Italy and France are also open to direct talks with Russia.

Like it or not this far more likely to be settled at the negotiating table rather than the battlefield.

In his opinion both sides at an inflection point.
