VOD up 0.3% but BT down 4.7% ! Why? With BT half the cap of VOD then one might expect BT to be down 0.6% or conversely VOD to be up 9.4% !

One of my brokers has converted 89.5% of my holding to cash at 80p per share. Can anyone explain that?
I did tender all shares but only expected the 9.5% I was entitled to plus a few extra to be converted to cash.
Other brokers have converted around 23% which seems more like it. Not that I'm complaining as I can buy back at around 74p on last week's closing price; just surprised as it was around £8.5K's worth cashed in at 80p where I was only expecting around £2K's worth.

Oversold; good yield. Maybe it got a magazine mention or yet to be reported director buys.

Yes, overdone. Expected underlying profit to be approx. 20% lower, dividend was 2X covered at last finals so will still be adequately covered; shares down 40%. There has to be some construction companies left who can make a profit.

Anyhow your broker doesn't need to 'email' anyone; all stops are visible on L2. If you don't know that then you aren't as 'professional' as you purport to be.

Not just for you, no, but for a bunch of stops yes. I do not think stops are handled in an entirely fair manner. As Tricky explained, the MM's push the price down through stops to pick up shares on the cheap and then raise it back up to where it should be; easy money for them.

Price dipped today below 519p to catch your stop; just like Tricky said woudl happen.

I use both. x-o has a £50 account closing fee and iWeb has a £25 joining fee. Both seem fine.
