Also a bit concerned at the half baked deal. What guarantees are there that the buyers won't default on the payments over the next 5 years!?

Remember that a steadily falling share price directly reduces the value of the company. Hence dividends will also have to fall in due course, despite assurances

The worst combination for shareholders. Insurance companies have been ripping off clients and shareholders for years. You've just got to remember those innocent young folk who were duped into taking out endowment mortgages, only to lose many thousands of pounds on maturity. Brokers and insurance company execs earned vast fees and bonuses were even given gongs for services to the insurance industry.

I could go on but what's the point.

Clearly L&G have been taken for a ride. Terrible deal, and the City have responded once again to board incompetence. The Chair needs to get a grip.

The only consolation is that I won't be paying capital gains on this basket case when I have to sell soon!!

Don't know. Long suffering shareholders probably won't see any benefit in their capital value. I hope I'm wrong.

As usual, falling back at the close of business and underperforming the FTSE. What to do. I need to raise some capital and will have to sell at a loss after holding for 5 years. I'm not going to live forever!!

Your City friends are clearly misguided. The FTSE is at an all time high yet the shares are down 7% since to took the helm. The bloke has no previous experience in the insurance industry. The share price tanked when he set out his strategy. He cut the dividend growth by 3%. His basic salary is 1.1 million per annum, plus loads of bonuses, even if the share price continues to underperform. The figures speak for themselves.

Please can we have Amanda from Aviva. L&G's CEO is a dead duck and needs to go sooner rather than later!!

But the FTSE is up today riding high, as is Aviva.

L&G specialises in Insurance products and it should never have got into housing, modular and Cala. Now shareholders have to suffer the consequences of these costly mistakes!!

I do like the dividend yield. However the only good thing about my worst performing L&G shares is that I can offset the capital losses, when I soon have to sell, against capital gains on better performing shares in my holdings such as MKS, BAE and RR.

I'm not going to live forever waiting for L&G to recover, which may never happen long term. Good luck to all you die hard optimists!!

FTSE and Aviva forging ahead again. L&G lagging far behind as usual. When is the board going to start earning their vast bonuses and do something to create some capital growth and shareholder returns?

LGEN's daily graph going from a camels hump to a cliff edge again!?

No one lives forever!! I need to raise some capital soon. The dividend is out of proportion to the dismal share price. Again today I hoped the share price would continue to rise but again we get the usual camels hump, possibly towards the red at FTSE close.

Gap still widening !!!

With the FTSE up, all insurers recovering well this morning except of course L&G, still languishing. Surprise surprise!!

Yes it's going lower as usual. I would wait till it gets below £2 after results and ex divi!

Oh dear. And I was hoping that the small cut in interest rates might turn the corner.

I see ABRDN is up today and doing well. Don't tell me Simōes is going to be another Stephen Bird!!

I'm worried it's going to drop further on 7th August following half year results and then again on ex divi date of 22nd August.

Gradually creeping towards the £2 threshold!! On the other hand the Aviva share price goes past £5.

When is CEO Simōes going to get his finger out and reassure the City to instill some confidence??!!
